WELCOME!

Hey there! Welcome to my blog! This my second blog, following my blog "Blog of an Anime Artist". But this one is completely different. That's right, no soul society, no Mariya Yattamori, no Soul Reapers, nothing at all. Instead, I'm letting you look into one of my favorite sports, Indy Car Racing. So, if you love racing, cars, crashing, comedy, adventure, romance, and a few blasts from the past, then this is the Blog for you. If not, you're loss. So, enjoy and come back next Saturday when the next part is released! Thanks!

Pit 7

Naomi finds herself head over heels as she watches Canlankaiana and Heru ride close to each other over the sandy landscape.
"How was he able to come along?" Naomi asks, not recalling why he was riding with the highly ranked group.
"Calankaiana picked him to be her escort for the evening. It's not strange that she would pick a servant every now and again. She feels better around them instead of Lords and Kings who want her hand." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, so that's why he changed clothes at last minute." Naomi realizes, looking back down at Heru.
Instead of wearing just a gold collar, arm bands, gold cuffs, and what looked like a long loin cloth skirt, he is wearing a off-white kilt, as she's told it's called, that reaches to about his knees, which is held at the top by a gold hip band and has a drapped piece of green cloth, similar to Calankaiana's, except less decorative. His collar is replaced with a more decorated one, some lapis lazuli inbedded in the gold. And around his ankles are gold bands, sandals on his feet that matched Calankaiana's.
"So, where exactly are they going?" Naomi asks.
"The Royal party is going to the Lord Chuma's estate for the feast." Alonsa answers.
"That dumb Lord that ticked off Calankaiana earlier?! Why would she want to eat there?!" Naomi asks, irritated.
"Yes, the party goes whether the Queen refuses or not. Though, Calankaiana will probably stay far away from the Lord-" Alonsa starts.
"Why wouldn't she?! She already hates him, so why would she want to just start a dinner conversation with him?!" Naomi interrupts.
"Don't worry about it, just watch." Alonsa instructs.
Naomi turns back and watches the party ride til they finally reach the pretty large estate. After many of the royal party members jump off their horses, leaving only Calankaiana, Heru, Fukayna, and Nenet still riding, the great gate outlining the outskirts of the Lord's land begin to open. When they fully open, Calankaiana trots in ahead on her group with Heru close by. As they enter, Calankaiana spots the Lord, who's looking down at her with fury in his stare. And when he spots Heru, she's sees him become even angrier. But, she turns away and keeps trotting along the way, irritated that she had to even see him again after what happened this very morning. Heru notices and quickens his horses speed so that he's next to her.
"Is something bothering you?" Heru asks.
Calankaiana looks surprised by his question, blushing a little.
"What do you mean?" Calankaiana asks.
"You seem to be in a mental war with the Lord. Did he do something to upset you or something?"
Calankaiana is quiet for a moment, then turns towards him and sighs.
"He was the one that asked for my hand earlier today..."
Heru is surprised by the answer.
"Oh..."
"But, he only cares for gold. He only wanted my hand for my wealth and looks, nothing more."
"I see. That would definitely tick me off if a girl I asked to marry me just liked me because of how I look or how much money I have. If you don't understand that person, then you probably the right one for them. At least, that is how I see it."
Calankaiana blushes and stops Lotus , Heru stopping his horse, Ra, soon after.
"My Lady, the Lord would like to talk to you...in private-" Fukayna starts as she walks up to the left side of Lotus after getting off her own horse, Nile.
"No, and that is final." Calankaiana snaps.
"But, Your Highness-"
"I am not talking to that self-absorbed man!-"
"Mukantagara..." Heru interupts Calankaiana, stopping her in the middle of her sentence.
Calankaiana turns back towards him surprised by hearing her birth name.
"Just see what Lord Chuma wants of you. If it is the same as last time, then just end the conversation and leave the room." Heru says.
"Heru..." Calankaiana says.
"How dare you speak to the Queen of Egypt like that! And calling her by her birth and not her reigning name is just as inexcusable!" Fukayna yells at Heru.
"It is alright. Heru is a friend, he may call me as he wishes." Calankaiana says.
"Calankaiana.." Fukayna says.
"Friend?" Heru says to himself.
"Fine, I will go and speak with the Lord. Where exactly is he?" Calankaiana asks.
"He's in his bed chamber." Fukayna answers.
Heru gets a weird feeling.
"Would it be alright if I came along with you? I mean, I am your escort." Heru says.
"Yes, you can wait outside the door of the Lord's bedchamber." Calankaiana answers.
The two walk away quickly, Naomi and Alonsa following them close behind. For a a few minutes they don't speak, still awkward about the conversation before. Finally, before Calankaiana can turn into the hallway where the Lord's room is, Heru takes her wrist and pulls her back hard, but gently, to face him.
"What?!" Calankaiana asks, irritated.
"I do not think you should see him." Heru says.
Calankaiana is taken back by his comment.
"Why not?"
Heru begins to blush.
"You refused his hand in marriage. Why would he want to see you, alone? I think that he is trying to do something."
She looks surprised again, then grins.
"Heru, I will be fine, I can take care of myself." she says reassuringly.
He looks away, in thought. After a few moments, he sighs and looks back at her.
"Alright, just be careful. And remember, I will be right outside the door, so if he if does anything, I will know."
Calankaiana is surprised, but nods and turns away before he can she her start to blush. Naomi floats down to be at Calankaiana's side.
"He seems protective of you, aye?" Naomi comments.
...No one but Fukayna has ever been like that...worried about me...protective of me...
Naomi is taken back when Calankaiana's voice go past her mind instead of out of her mouth.
"How the heck did that happen?!" Naomi yells.
"You two can communicate to each other without speech, remember?" Alonsa comments.
"Oh yeah, you explained that earlier, didn't you?" Naomi says.
Alonsa rolls her eyes, as well as Calankaiana.
"But, no one has worried about you, ever?" Naomi asks Calankaiana, herself.
Weird.
...No one...well, only two other people...but...they are both dead...
Her parents...
"I'm sorry..." Naomi says, remembering how she felt when her dad died.
...It is alright...
"So...you like Heru?"
Calankaiana begins to overly blush again.
...He is-He is a kind man...
"And...?"
...He acts very caring...
Naomi and Alonsa watch as Calankaiana gets an innocent smile on her face, making Naomi grin. Calankaiana really did like Heru.
"I think this is the first time since her childhood that I've seen that happy, child-like smile..." Alonsa says, surprised by Calankaiana's expression when she thinks of Heru.
"She grew up faster then she should. It's no wonder you never saw that smile." Naomi interjects.
"What?" Alonsa asks.
"Since she was a child, Calankaiana has been pushed to her limits by her parents, tutors, and even you. She always had to fit into the image you thought fit a princess. And because of that, you rarely let her enjoy her childhood or early adulthood. Then, when she was 15, she had to take the throne as Queen. Though on the outside she was completely ready to take on her destined position, on the inside, she was a mess. Terrified by the chance of messing up or calling the wrong action in a situation. She was being pressured to be perfect. She was raised as an adult, not a child. And because of that, she doesn't understand the truth of happiness and fun. From the world you raised her that you thought was perfect, all she learned was information from the scriptures, and how to put on a strong face when faced with a hard situation. She never learned what you truly need to understand..."
"W-What is that?..." Alonsa asks.
"She never learned how to interact with people who not only respect, but care about her. She never learned how to truly love..." Naomi finishes.
Alonsa's eyes widen in alarm and shock. She immediately turns back towards Calankaiana, who's walked farther down the hall, Heru close behind.
"I restrained her from learning of love...?" Alonsa says.
Suddenly, the discussion from earlier between Calankaiana and Fukayna rushes back.
The knowledge of love...wanting to know what love is....what it feels like...
"What had I done...?" Alonsa says as she falls to her knees, in shock.
Naomi notices and sighs, a content frown as her expression.
"I'm sorry, but I had to tell you straight what I was feeling. Calankaiana and I are one in the same, am I right? Well, you have to remember the fact that you're here again, with me." Naomi says.
Alonsa looks surprised and looks up, tears silently running down her face.
"What?" Alonsa asks.
Naomi grins and gets down to Alonsa's level.
"I am the reincarnation of Mukantagara Asim, the powerful Pharaoh Calankaiana. I have lived three other lives that I still don't remember, but do know one thing. In this life, I have beeen able to experience all that is needed for a human to live a life worth living. I now have experienced it, so you don't need to cry. And besides, for some reason, I hate to see people cry..." Naomi says, smiling.
Suddenly, Alonsa sees a spark of purple flash in Naomi's eyes. In her mind's eye, she sees the same girl, brown hair, hazel eyes, a goddess's smile. She wears silks and satin's sewn into the highest elegance a kimono can be, her light making it ever more beautiful. a shawl around her shoulders and a katana at her side. She hold her hand out to Alonsa, warmth transcending from her body and encasing Alonsa in a orb of pure happiness.
"Hika...heme..." Alonsa says as the visions disappears, revealing her modern joy, Naomi, still smiling bright.
A blood-curdling scream fills the air, and sends the happy moment into the jaws of chaos.
