Pit 14

March 14, 2011
Birmingham, Alabama
Naomi sighs as she stares at her teal helmet. She traces one of the grey feathers in the design, which now, seeing as how she is now in a weird Angel, God, save the world situation, is kinda strange. She groans in boredom as she rolls onto her back, her legs now hanging off the side of her bed. Her eyes watch the high ceiling for a moment before looking over to the balcony, the sunlight shinning into her dark room and casting shadows off of her furniture.
"Honey, you in there?" Naomi hears her mom call from the other side of the door.
"Yeah, I'm here." Naomi calls back.
Her mom opens the door and peeks her head in.
"Your brother and I are going to our hotel. We'll see you tomorrow." Her mom says as she walks over Naomi and leans over to give her a hug.
"Kay, see you then." she answers, hugging her mom back.
"Love you." her mom says as she begins to walk out the bedroom door.
"Love you too." Naomi says as she mom closes the door behind her, leaving Naomi for the night.
For a few minutes, Naomi just lays there, her mind wandering through the past few days events and the events of the next day. Soon, she'll have to leave to get interviewed about the next day's race at the Barber Motorsports Park, which apparently she is a favorite to win. Then Calankaiana passes through her mind. Without thinking, she takes hold of her necklace, the same that Heru had once given to her. Suddenly, she thinks of Alonsa. Over the past few days, she had only seen her once or twice. And when she did try to talk to her, Alonsa says she's busy and walks off before she can call her back. She sighs in irritation, Alonsa beginnging to anger her.
Suddenly, a strong breeze fills the room, her hair blowing around her face. Without warning, the senation of something on her back becomes apparent. Regretfully, she turns to look, finding her immature wings now spread wide on her back. The pure white feathers actually look a little longer, but only by an inch. She turns back to see Alonsa, but wearing a overly-elegant dress, her orange wings beginning to fold behind her seriously long hair.
"Hello, Naomi." Alonsa says as she walks over to the side of Naomi's bed.
"H-Hi." Naomi says, a little surprised by Alonsa's entrance.
"It's time to begin."
"Begin what?"
"What? Your training."
"Now?! We have a team interview in three hours!"
"We can get some done in that time. Now, come with me."
Alonsa takes Naomi's wrist and without warning, the room fades into solid white, both of them both elevated by their wings, though, Naomi's wings are stressing more with her weight, causing her to float about a half foot lower then Alonsa. An odd sensation causes Naomi to look down to see her jeans and flannel shirt changing into a pure white gown. Thought pretty, the plain dress is nowhere near the elegance of Alonsa's gown. Heck, comparing, her's looks more like a sundress style nightgown.
"Now, let's start. As you know, the name of the technique you need to master before continuing on is called the-" Alonsa starts.
"Sekhmet Lightning Inferno. I know." Naomi finishes.
"You also know that you used it once while in the world of Ancient Egypt. This means that you do have the capibility to master it." Alonsa continues, ignoring Naomi's interuption, "Now, first, you must learn how to concentrate enough of your Spiritual Intuition to create a high pressure fire ball."
"Huh?"
"How you create the fireball is by concentrating your spiritual intuition into your palm."
"How on Earth do I do that?"
"You do it by concentrating on something that creates enough "pure" emotion."
...Pure Emotion...?...
"Alright, get to work." Alonsa says as she floats a few yards away, putting distance between them.
"W-Wait, you're not going to help me?!" Naomi yells.
"I cannot help. This is a power you must master on your own. I am just here to watch over you as you train, nothing more."
"You know, you can stop talking in that weird shaman mumbo-jumbo voice." Naomi comments.
"Shaman mumbo-jumbo voice?" That's very what you think I sound like?" Alonsa asks, sounding more normal.
"Well, now you don't, but you know what I mean-"
"Just train." Alonsa interupts, her voice slightly dressed with irritation.
Naomi becomes silent and turns away from Alonsa, trying to find out what exactly she meant by the "pure" emotion. After a few minutes of floating she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes. She holds out her palm, hoping to feel some type of reaction. Slowly, warmth begins to swallow her hand, making her hopes go up instantly. But, as she opens her eyes, she finds that the ball, well...isn't exactly a ball. The yellow thing floating in her palm actually looks more like a de-formed football, curving and spinning at the weirdest angles. She looks over at Alonsa whos seems to be just as confused as she is, meaning that Calankaiana must of never messed up this bad. She turns back to the, whatever it is, and sighs, frustrated. Then, a slight worried thought passes through her mind.
...How the heck do I turn it off?...
She turns to Alonsa again.
"Uh, Alonsa?" Naomi asks.
"Yes?" Alonsa answers.
"How do I make it disappear?"
Alonsa looks surprised by the question, before turning slightly, looking as if she is in thought. After a moment, she sighs and turns back towards Naomi.
"I have no idea." Alonsa answers.
"YOU HAVE WHA-?!" Naomi yells, "SO YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW THIS THING WORKS?!"
"Not a clue." Alonsa comments.
"BUT YOU'RE MY GUARDIEN, SHOULDN'T YOU KNOW HOW THIS THING WORKS?!"
"Being your guardien has nothing to do with your powers. Calankaiana never asked for my assitance, and she developed the technique on her own, so I was never required to learn how to stop it."
"SO WHAT DO I DO NOW?!"
"Just try to dismiss with your own power."
"HOW THE HECK DO I DO THAT?!"
"I DON'T KNOW, JUST DO IT!" Alonsa snaps, surprising Naomi.
"Ok, ok, already." Naomi says as she turns her back to Alonsa.
She stares down at the deformed light in her hand in sighs, before closing her eyes. She tries all she can to focuss her mind on dismissing the objecy, but the warm sensation doesn't fade, irritating her. For what Naomi believes to be an hour, she floats in the void, trying all she can to control the thing and make it disappear. As she floats, Alonsa glides silently to be right behind her, Naomi having her eyes closed not noticing her. She quietly reaches her hands around Naomi's middle, before forcefully pulling her Naomi towards her, scaring the crap out of her.
"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING!?" Naomi yells at her as Alonsa laughs.
"Trying to surprise you." Alonsa answers.
"Well, you did and more!" Naomi says, angry.
"Agreed. But in more ways than one."
Naomi looks at her, confused.
"Huh?" Naomi asks.
Alonsa points down.
"Take a look." Alonsa says.
Naomi slowly looks down and gasps. Without her knowing it, the object of light that had been in floating in her hand ha vanished, leaving no trace. Naomi stares in surprise, before looking back up at Alonsa.
"How did that happen?" Naomi asks.
"While you were trying to figure that out, I remembered what happened when Calankaiana tried to attack Chuma." Alonsa explains, "Heru stopped her by surprising her. And, when you tried to attack Nenet, Calankaiana stopped you then by...?"
"...surprising me.."
"Exactly, so I figured that surprise might be that powers weakness."
"Sounds good enough."
Suddenly, the sound of a loud gong rings out through the void, surprising Naomi further.
"What the-?!" Naomi yells.
"Our time has run out for now, hurry, before any Fallen Angels appear!" Alonsa calls as she pulls Naomi off.
Within an instant, Naomi finds herself back in her sweats, looking back up at the ceiling. though, beneath, she feels nothing. She looks below her to see herself floating about five feet above her bed.
"Ahh!" Naomi shouts as she falls out of the air, landing hard on the bed.
"Ow..."
She looks up as she sits up straight on the bed. From the looks of it, she is back in her bedroom, and the clock says it's only been 20 minutes at most. And, a look on her back concludes that her wings are gone.
A sudden knock at the door scares her, but she luckily doesn't yell.
"Y-Yes?" Naomi says.
"Ms. Kingsfer, Mr. Stevens is waiting for you." she hears Penny say from the other side of the door.
"Oh, um, I'll be down in a sec."
"Alright."
Until she can't here Penny's footsteps anymore, she sits in silence. When she's gone, Naomi falls back into the bed, sighing. It's now she quickly gets dressed before running towards the door, not noticing a dark notion floating gently to the floor.

Pit 13

Naomi stares in shock at the two small, but feathery wings spread in a flying type position on her back, their appearance amazing, but shocking. Quickly, Naomi swims up to the surface where Alonsa is waiting. When she breaks the water, she let's it out.
"I HAVE WINGS!!!" Naomi yells, stunned by what's on her back.
"I told you that-" Alonsa starts
"I know what you said, and in the context, you never mentioned wings!" Naomi snaps.
"You don't like them?" Alonsa asks.
Naomi shuts up then looks back to see the small ruffled wings folded gently on her back, making them even smaller.
"They look like they belong to newborn birds!" Naomi yells.
"What, you expect wings to be full grown from the start?" Alonsa asks, surprising Naomi.
"You mean they aren't?" Naomi asks.
"Yes, your wings aren't fully grown until your powers and spiritual intuition are at their full max." Alonsa answers.
"What's spiritual intuition?" Naomi asks.
"Spiritual Intuition is how in touch we are with God and the purities of the world. It also is how you locate demons and Fallen Angels in an area." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, like a spirit detector?"
"In a way, yes."
"So, why did we have to come to this pool?" Naomi asks.
"Until your wings are fully grown, they will only appear when they're wet."
"Why's that?"
"Because we don't want you walking around with premature wings and water is one of the purest elements on Earth."
"Oh, so how long will it take for them to become fully grown?"
"It depends on how long it takes you to master your powers. It could be weeks, months, even years if it takes that long."
"Years! You've gotta be joking!"
"I'm not."
"How long did it take you?!"
Alonsa thinks it over.
"Oh, uh, maybe two or three years."
"Two or three years!?"
"Yes, why do you keep repeating everything I say?"
"Because I'm too confused to think of anything on my own!"
"Ok, ok, calm down. Breath for God's sake Naomi." Alonsa says, trying to calm Naomi down.
When Naomi is finally calm enough to think her own thoughts, she dives back under the water so to clear mind. As she swims, she begins to play with how to move her wings. They flip and fold, moving in cute displays and styles, showing off each of the gentle, premature feathers. It's now that she realizes that unlike Alonsa's, her's are pure white. Out of the erge to know, Naomi quickly kicks back towards Alonsa, rising out the water.
"Hey, why aren't mine orange?" Naomi asks.
"Each angel has a different color of wings, the color representing them." Alonsa explains.
"Oh. What does Orange represent?"
"It represents enthusiasm, fadcination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation."
"That sounds about right. So, what about white?"
"Let's see. I think white is told to mean light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity."
"You think?"
"Well, you see, there has never been an angel with white wings." Alonsa explains.
Naomi's eyes widen in shock.
"Really?"
"Yes, in the prophecy, it is said that only the Guardian Angel of Mortals shall have white wings. Another reason why I know you are the Mortal Guardian Angel."
Naomi floats quietly for a minute, before looking back at Alonsa.
"What do black wings mean?"
Alonsa is surprised by her question. But before too long, her eyes narrow and she becomes more serious.
"Black wings indicate a very powerful falled angel. The tint of the wings initially means power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Though, not all fallen angels' wings are black."
"What?"
"Actually, black is the rarest of the colors, only reserved for the most powerful Douin Kuroi. The wing color is based on gender. If female, they are usually dark purple or pine green, while with males they're crimson or midnight blue."
"Oh."
They fall silent.
"So...now what?" Naomi asks.
"Now, we return back to the hospital." Alonsa answers.
"Huh?"
Suddenly, bright light consumes them, making Naomi feel like she's being lifted from the water. When she senses the light fading, she slowly opens her to the amazement of the hospital's bathroom, Alonsa and herself back in nightgowns and dry. Alonsa smiles as her wings disappear into thin air, as if they were just an illusion. Naomi looks at her back too to see her wings gone too, since she's no longer wet, it makes sense.
"Wow." Naomi says as she gets up off the dented trash can.
"Yeah, to you I guess it would be." Alonsa says.
Suddenly, there's a beating on the door.
"Naomi, get your butt out here!" she hears her mom say from the other side of the door.
"I guess they found me." Naomi says.
"It would seem so." Alonsa agrees, before her eyes land on Naomi's necklace.
Naomi notices.
"Oh yeah, can you explain how this middle piece is now red?" Naomi asks as she holds up the pendant.
"It wasn't that color before. This has never happened." Alonsa says as she walks over and takes the pendant from Naomi, inspecting it.
"Naomi Jennifer Kingsfer, come out here this instant!" her mom yells.
"Crap, now she's really p.o.ed." Naomi says as she takes her necklace from Alonsa and hurries to the door.
"I'll be out there in a minute." Alonsa says as Naomi unlocks the door.
"Kay." Naomi says as she opens the door, only to be jerked away by her unseen mother.
Alonsa smiles as she hears the arguement between Naomi and her mother, which at the moment, Naomi is winning. Alonsa walks quietly to a stall and closes the door behind her, turning away. From thin air, her wings reappear, as well as a phone, which seems to be very new. She unlocks the phone and touches the dialer button, it pulling up numbers. But instead of the star like on a usual phone, the image of a passion flower is there in the 12 box. Alonsa clicks it quickly and holds it to her ear. At that second, another chocker-like necklace appears around her neck, a topaz teardrop pendant glowing  around the chain as it morphes out of nothing.
Suddenly, the room begins to fade until there's no reminence of the bathroom left. As she floats in the void of white, her night gown begins to transform. The simple gray design turns into a pure white dress, the straps transcending down her arms at a steep angle, creating the top of her kimono-styled sleeves, orange beads hanging from the top of the sleeves. The sleeves come together at a topaz gem at about the brest bone. The gown then travels down loosly to the top of her waist, until three rope-like cords tie around her waist to the back, then flowing gently out into a full, non-bulky, bubble skirt with beading and a light orange under skirt. Kept held by the cord are two paterned sashes that go over her shoulders and flow at the front and back, beads fanging from the endsjust like the end of the bubble skirt and top of sleeves, making her light orange flats vanish. Her wings grow slightly as a gold head-dress appears on her head, at the same time as her topaz, teardrop earrings, matching her teardrop pendant.
Finally, her curly, blonde hair grows to fall at about her knees and a golden halo of light takes place above her head, finishing her transformation.
Slowly, the light fades to reveal a beautiful paradise full of sunshine and flowers, petals blowing on the wind coming from a nearby meadow. In front of Alonsa stands temple-looking buildings that look like those from ancient Greece, a waterfall flowing from the side of the largest one, trees surronding and shading some of the area. She smiles as her wings widen, then begin to beat hard, her feet now off the ground. She flies gracefully past the buildings towards the largest one. Around her, others fly arround, when they catch sight of her, they bow slightly, and watch as she flies past. Quickly she lands at the entrance of the large temple. She walks in to now appears to be a grand library and stops in front of a girl with the brightest of silver wings. She wears a one sleeved dress, two cords tied tightly close together right below her breasts into a bow in the back, then flowing out into a 2 layer skirt, the under skirt a light gray, hiding her shiny silver flats. At the top of the shoulder of her sleeved arm, a sash resembling Alonsa's flows in the front in back, the other arm, with only a thick spagetthi-type strap, tied with the same. Her long, straight, light green hair is tied into a low ponytail, strings of silver beads that match the ones hanging from her sash and top layer of her skirt intertwined with her locks. A similar teardrop pendant and earrings are what she wears, her's though silver. Last but not least, the gold head dress sits nicely in place, finishing her look.
She spots Alonsa with her blue eyes and grins, turning away from a row of books.
"Well, it has been a long time, Serenity." the girl says, calling Alonsa by her true name.
"Nice to see you Analise, I have to report." Alonsa answers.
"Report? So, you found her?" Analise asks as she readjusts her rectangle glasses.
"Yes, I did."
"What is she this time? A Duchess? The daughter of a Sultan?"
"A race car driver from Plainfield, Indiana."
Analise's eyes widen in surprise.
"A race car driver? From Plainfield? You have to be joking." Analise says.
"I am not. I am certain that Naomi is who I've been searching for." Alonsa answers.
"But she is not of royal blood, so she cannot be her."
"I would know Calankaiana, Icicene, Hikaheme, and Liliana when I see them. She is them."
"Are you sure that you just haven't made this all up in your head, seeing as how it's taken you about 400 years to find her again. The last time, it only took you a hundred."
"That's because I was looking in all the wrong places. I was looking for a girl born into a royal family."
"As you should be."
"But what if this time she was born into a non-royal body? One that would be harder for the Devil and his Douin Kuroi to track down. It seems logical."
Analise thinks.
"Yes, I guess it would be easier for her to be left under radar." Analise admits.
"Also, she looks exactly like Calankaiana and Hikaheme." Alonsa says.
Analise is confused.
"Why not Icicene and Liliana?" Analise asks.
"Icicene and Liliana had light blue eyes. Calankaiana, Hikaheme, and Naomi have hazel eyes." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, I see. Well, He is in the Sanctuary Temple. Judging by how great this news is, I would be lead to believe He is probably expecting you."
"Thank you."
Gently, Alonsa begins to float and turns to fly out.
"Serenity." Analise calls, causing Alonsa to look at her from over the shoulder.
Analise smiles.
"Welcome back to Heaven." Analise says.
Alonsa smiles back.
"Thanks." she callls as she flies out, heading to where God is probably waiting.

Pit 12

Slowly, light begins to enters Naomi's eyes as she blinks after it goes dark for a moment. As her eyes adjusts, she hears the the stomping of footsteps coming closer to her. When she is finally able to see clearly, she sees Kaylee standing over her with her mom and brother, starring at her as if she had just come back to life.
"Why are you all standing over me?" Naomi asks.
Within an instant, her mom is crying, Kaylee is hugging her like crazy, and her brother? Well, let's just say that he was more worried about getting to the next level of his nintendo game than her.
"Will you let go of me?! I can't breath!" Naomi snaps as Kaylee holds her tight.
Kaylee does as asked and lets her go, allowing Naomi to gasp in air.
"Oh Honey, I was so worried about you. When I got the call from Mr. Stevens that you had been rushed to the hospital, I couldn't believe it." her mom says as tears still fall from her cheeks.
Naomi's eyes widen in surprise.
"Hospital?" Naomi says as she looks around, just now noticing that she's in a hospital, an IV stabbed into her left arm.
"You mean you don't remember?" Kaylee asks.
Naomi shakes her head.
"Well, as you were being introduced to your new team-mate, you two keeled over and wouldn't wake up. After about 10 minutes, Penny called 911 an for the past day or two, you've been out." Kaylee explains.
"Is Alonsa alright?" Naomi asks, unusally worried about her.
Kaylee nods.
"She woke up about 20 minutes ago, she's been escorted downstairs to get something to eat." her mom says as she points to the door.
Naomi thinks of all that has happened to her over the past two days. Was she really in ancient Egypt? Did she really meet Calankaiana? Or did she just dream it all. Though, the thought of Calankaiana brought a dull pain to her chest, thinking of how she was so brutally murdered. Suddenly, her hand raises to clutch something around her neck. Her eyes widen as she looks down to see the pendant Heru had given Calankaiana around her neck. Except now, it's slightly different. Now, the middle crystal petal is tinted red unlike how it was clear before.
"Where did you get that?" Kaylee asks as she notices the necklace around Naomi's neck.
"You mean you didn't give it to me?" Naomi asks, surprised.
Kaylee shakes her head, as well as her mom.
Naomi turns her attention back to the pendant, then turns and pulls off her covers.
"What are you doing?" her mom asks Naomi turns to have her legs hanging off the right side of the bed.
"What does it look like? I'm getting out of this bed, then going downstairs to get something to eat." Naomi says as she jumps off the bed, her bare feet landing on the cool tiled floor.
"Don't you think you should wait for the doctor?" her mom asks as Naomi walks around the end of the bed to grab the IV pole and push it towards the door.
"Nope, see ya." Naomi says as she walks out of the room turning out to the hallway.
"Naomi! Come back!" her mom calls, only to be answered by the sound of the opening elevator door.
Naomi watches as her mom and Kaylee run out of her room after her, just to be met by the closing door.
She sighs as it begins to lower, glad that they didn't get to the elevator soon enough to drag her back to the room. She then turns her focus back on her necklace, that last she knew, was around Alonsa's neck in this time. Did this mean that what happened, was real?
When the door opens to the main floor, Naomi exits quickly and turns down the hall leaing to the cafeteria, the same one she has volunteered in before. As she walks quickly into the cafeteria, she instantly spots Alonsa's long, curly, blonde hair sitting with her back to her, eating. Naomi wastes no time walking over to her and putting her mouth to Alonsa's ear.
"Come with me to the bathroom. You've got some explaining to do." Naomi whispers, surprising Alonsa.
But, Alonsa nods and follows Naomi to the nearby bathroom, luckily getting in before her mom and Kaylee walk in. As soon as Naomi shuts the door and locks it behind her, she turns back to Alonsa, who's leaning against one of the sinks.
"Ok, please tell me that I'm not crazy and that what happened, really happened. Because if it didn't, I think I need to get some help. Especially after seeing her get killed like that. Man it still-" Naomi starts.
"Everything was real and you aren't crazy." Alonsa interupts, her orange wings suddenly appearing, "And these are here to prove it."
"Ok, you never did tell me why you have wings." Naomi comments.
"Well, I don't think I should tell you yet." Alonsa says.
"Oh, c'mon. I'm gonna get so irritated by them until you spill."
"I don't know-"
"Seriously, how weird can it be?"
Alonsa stays quiet for a minute, then sighs and looks back at her.
"Well, I guess explaining your mission will be easier to understand if I tell." she says.
"So..?" Naomi groans.
Alonsa sighs.
"I am a Douin Junsei(Pure Agent), or what you would call a "Guardian Angel". I have been sent by God to protect and guide you through your journey. My wings are proof." Alonsa says as her wings unfold slightly.
Naomi becomes speechless as she stares at Alonsa in shock.
...A Guardian Angel...sent by God..?!....
"You're joking, aren't you?" Naomi says after a moment or two.
"WHY WOULD I JOKE ABOUT THIS!?" Alonsa yells, aparentlly irritated by Naomi's question.
Naomi is stunned by Alonsa's response to her question. The act gives Naomi the weird gut feeling that what Alonsa said is true.
"Sorry, it's just hard to believe. I'm mean, you're an angel! It's gonna take more then two seconds to fully believe it." Naomi apologizes.
Alonsa looks irritated for another moment, before sighing, and chuckling.
"I guess you're right. I should of anticipated that, I suppose."
Naomi laughs, then sits on the top of the foot operated trashcan in the corner.
"So, what exavtly do you need me so much for?"
"You, are the reincarnation of-"
"Calankaiana. I know, I know." Naomi interupts.
"Well, not only her."
"Huh?"
"You are actually the reincarnation of four different girls. Calankaiana was only the first."
"So, who are the others?"
"After your death as Calankaiana, you were Princess Icicene of Greece, Empress Hikaheme of Japan, and Countess Liliana of Spain."
"Wow..."
"In each of your lifetimes, you had a different ability. But sadly, your powers never reached their full potentials."
"Why not?"
Alonsa becomes quiet, worrying Naomi.
"Alonsa, what happened?"
Finally, Alonsa looks back at her.
"...Your powers never fully developed because your powers fully awake when you turn 19, and you never have lived past 18..." Alonsa confesses.
Naomi eyes widen in shock.
"What...?" Naomi says.
"You always died before you could truly use your full power."
"But...why?..."
Calankaiana's death runs past Naomi's mind, sending shivers down her spin.
"That's part of your mission...actually."
"Just tell me!" Naomi snaps.
"You always died because the Devil was afraid of what would happen if your powers became stronger."
Naomi is surprised.
"What?"
"The Devil sent a Douin Kuroi(Black Agent) or "Fallen Angel" to each of the time periods that you lived in and had them kill you without drawing attention to themselves."
"He's that scared of me?"
"Yes."
"You still haven't really explained this misson."
"You must fight against the Devil and seal him."
"WHAT??!!"
"Shh!" Alonsa snaps as she runs over and covers Naomi's mouth.
"How in the world can I seal the Devil?! He's like the ultimate evil!"
"I wasn't done!" Alonsa says as she lowers her voice, "Before you can fight the Devil, you must master all four of your special attacks that you acquired from each life. This will take time, but in the end, you will be more powerful then you can ever imagine."
"How the heck am I supposed to do that?"
"Like when we visited the last day's of Calankaiana, we must travel to the last days of your past lives and gain information on what happened, then inbetween, work to master that incarnation's ability. For example, before we go to any other time periods, you must master the Sekhmet Lightning Inferno. If you don't, then your progress will become slower and your powers will take longer to awaken."
"I have to watch myself die three more times!?"
"I'm sorry, but you have to."
Naomi grits her teeth as she slams her clutched fist into the trashcan, slightly denting it. Alonsa frowns, concerned by Naomi's reaction.
"Oh, there's one other thing."
"What?" Naomi asks in an irritated tone.
"Come with me." Alonsa says, a ball of light appearing in her hand, surprising Naomi.
"What the heck is-" Naomi starts before being blinded by light.
When she reopens her eyes, she finds herself in a humid swimming pool area of what appears to be a public YMCA or something.
"How the heck did I get here?" Naomi says to herself, before looking down to see herself in a plain, teal bikini, "And when the heck did I change?!"
"Just one of the many little tricks you can do when you're an angel." Alonsa's voice says from across the room.
Naomi looks up from her swimsuit to see Alonsa standing on the opposite side of the pool wearing a very revealing orange poka-dot one-piece swimsuit, her hair up in a high ponytail. And, sticking right of her back in broad daylight are her large orange wings, making Naomi believe in her as an angel even more.
"You can teleport?"
"Yep, now get in."
"Why?" Naomi asks, confused.
"You'll see."
Naomi looks down into the clear water and smiles.
"Whatever you say." Naomi says as she steps back, then runs and jumps, "CANNONBALL!"
With a big splash, Naomi lands in the water, met with a chill when the cool water hits her skin. Naomi smiles as the water soaks through her hair, it wizzing gently around her face. From above she hears another splash, probably Alonsa jumping in. But, at the moment, she doesn't care. for some reason, swimming had always calmed her, though it then again sometimes she had a hesitense to get in, like she was scared of something. Oh well, but for now she was as happy as can be, soaring through the water like she had wings of her own. She smiles as she imagines beautiful, swan-like, no, angel-like wings flowing gracfully around, open and light connected to her body. It's now that she finally comes up for air, breathing in the nice air, then blinking to see Alonsa starring happily at her, her orange wings floating right on the top of the water.
"This is so much fun! I love this!" Naomi says as she makes a few small splashes.
Alonsa grins.
"I'm glad, but to have fun is actually not the reason I brought you here." Alonsa says.
Naomi is confused.
"Then why?"
"This might sound strange, considering you were just able to accept me being an Angel, but then again, it won't even be fully complete after you visit your last incarnation and master her power-" Alonsa babbles.
"What, Alonsa?!" Naomi interupts.
Alonsa looks irritated at her for interupting her out-loud thoughts, but sighs and gets to the point anyway.
"The reason that you have always been reicarnated as a powerful girl is because you are said to be the prophesied "Mortal Guardian Angel" sent by God himself to watch over his children and protect them from the dark intentions on the Devil and his followers, the Douin Kuroi." Alonsa explains.
Naomi's eyes widen.
"I'm the what?!" Naomi yells.
"Mortal Guardian Angel." And there is a little thing that happens in the prophesy when you transform, as told by God himself."
"What?" Naomi asks.
"Why don't you go under again with these and look." Alonsa says as she holds out a pair of goggles to Naomi.
She nods and takes them, easily slipping them under her hair and onto her eyes so her hair can float freely. With a deep breath, Naomi dives back under and kicks slowly as as swims towards the deep end. She smiles as she flies, the true feeling of imaginary wings making her feeling like she's soaring. But it's not until she turns that she finds that her little feeling, wasn't exactly as she thought...

Pit 11

Calankaiana gapes at the sword sticking out of Chuma's chest, blood dripping from the point. Chuma is even more surprised, wide eyed as he tries to take in air. Suddenly, the blade disappears back into the Lord's chest, releasing him to fall to the ground.
"Are you alright, my Pharaoh?" a familar voice says.
Calankaiana and Naomi look up and gasp when they see Fukayna holding the hilt of the bloody sword.
"Y-Yes, I am fine." Calankaiana answers, surprised.
"Nice work." Naomi compliments Alonsa, nudging her with her elbow.
"I wasn't about to let her die." Alonsa says.
"My Lord!" the pudgy man yells as the other men stare at the dead Lord.
Anger begins to rebuild in Calankaiana as she turns to face them, her glare causing them to freeze in terror. She opens her right palm to reveal sparks and a flame beginning to take shape into her special attack. Her eyes glow red, filled with same intent of death as Naomi's had been. The men drop Heru and begin to run, scared for their lives.
"You are not getting away. SEKHMET LIGHTNING INFERNO!" Calankaiana yells as she throws the now fully developed fireball at the four men.
Of course, it lands spot on, the men screaming as they go up in flames. Within seconds, the men are ash and the flame is gone, the violent wind the only clue that Calanakaiana had used her power.
"Fukayna." Calankaiana says.
"Yes, Your Highness?" Fukayna answers.
"Go and tell Chuma's men that their Lord has been killed, and if they value their lives, that they will surrender." Calankaiana orders.
"Yes Pharaoh." Fukayna says as she turns and runs back towards the Estate.
As the wind dies out, Calankaiana turns her attention back to Heru, who's holding tight to his shoulder where he had been stabbed with his still shackled hands. She feels her eyes fade as she comes to stand in front of Heru, his attention now turned towards her.
"Mukantagara...?" Heru says, calling Calankaiana by her birth name.
Without saying anything, Calankaiana kneels in front of him and works on taking off his shackles.
"I was worried about you." Calankaiana says as she works.
Heru looks surprised by what she says.
"I do not see why, I mean, I am nothing but a stable-hand. You on the other hand, are something to worry about." Heru says, looking away as Calankaiana undoes one of the cuffs.
Calankaiana gasps and looks up at him.
"On the way here, all they talked about was killing me to weaken you. I was scared, but for you. I do not really care what happens to me, seeing as how I am not all that important. But if someone is to threaten your life, I would do everything in my power to keep you safe. Because I love-" Heru explains.
Calankaiana doesn't let him finish and throws herself on him, and surprises him by stealing a kiss on the lips. She kisses him deeply, his surprise fading as he closes his eyes and raises his freed hand to hold the back of Calankaiana's head and the other around her waist. Calankaiana in reponse wraps her arms around his neck, holding herself close to him. Naomi and Alonsa are surprised, Naomi slightly blushing as she watches them make-out.
"Well, wasn't expecting that." Naomi comments.
"Nope." Alonsa says, both of them still watching.
When they finally stop, Heru stares at Calankaiana is surprise, taken back by her kiss.
"W-Why did you-?" Heru starts.
"You were going to say you love me, were you not?" Calankaiana asks.
Heru begins to blush.
"Y-Yes..." Heru admits.
Calankaiana grins, then begins to smile happily. She then looks back up at him, slightly blushing.
"You should of been able to tell that I loved you too since I accepted your beautiful necklace." Calankaiana says, as she clutches the necklace he gave her around her neck.
Heru eyes widen in shock. Then he grins and takes Calankaiana's left hand and pulls her into another kiss, she obviously not fighting against him.
"How romantic." Naomi comments as she watches him release and kiss Calankaiana on the forehead, before pulling her close with his uninjured arm.
Suddenly, the sound of beating hooves fills the air, drawing all of their attention towards a nearing man. From his side, he draws a sword, kicking at his horses flanks to make him go faster. Instinctively, Heru pushes Calankaiana behind him, knowing that the man is probably another assassin. But before he reaches them, an arrow stabs through his chest, and the man falls off his horse to the ground.
"My Pharaoh!" a girl calls a she passes the man on another horse.
"Nenet?!" Calankaiana calls as she gets up and runs to her side, surprised by her presence.
"Are you alright?" Nenet says as she gets off the horse, who Calankaiana can now tell is Ra, Heru's horse.
"Yes, but Heru's been injured." Calankaiana answers as she turns towards Heru, "If you could help, I can get him on my horse and-"
Suddenly, a sharp pain fill Calankaiana's body. Heru, Naomi, and Alonsa gasp as they see the point of a sword sticking through her chest.
"CALANKAIANA!" Heru yells.
"I am glad I got here in time, I would of been devastated if you had already been killed." Nenet says as she smirks.
Calankaiana turns to face Nenet and gasps as she she sees her eyes are crimson.
"Why...?" Calanakaiana says as she tries to get air into her lungs.
"You seriously never found out? I must give you too much credit. But, then again, your sister and Chuma were easy to bend, so I really should not be surprised." Nenet says, chuckling.
"So, Neema...and Chuma...they were just your puppets...that you hid behind...so that I...would never think of you...as an enemy..." Calankaiana says.
"Well, you certainly are quick. I'll give you that, but you will not need it where you are going." Nenet say as she pulls her sword out of Calankaiana, causing her to drop to the ground.
"Mukantagara!" Heru yells as she runs towards her, Nenet climbing back on Ra.
"See you later, idiots." Nenet says as she turns Ra towards the exit.
Alonsa turns in rage as Nenet rides off, then gasps. As Nenet rides, jet black wings appear on her back, spreading, then folding onto Nenet's back.
"A fallen angel..." Alonsa says in shock, then turns to Naomi, "Naomi, Nenet is a-"
She stops as she looks at Naomi, who's starring at Calankaiana in shock.
"Calankaiana...she just killed Calankaiana..." Naomi whispers.
Suddenly, Calankaiana's words begins to pass through her mind.
"...You would of hated this life. I am glad that eventually, I am so care-free and independent. Please, remember to never let go of your youth and happiness. I lost both such a long time ago, and I finally found at least my happiness today, through you and Heru..."
"Naomi...?" Alonsa whispers, her voice worried.
"...Please, never become what I am. Do not give in to what other think you should be and play along. Because in the end, you are no longer yourself. You are not even a true being..."
"Calankaiana..." Naomi whispers.
"...And one last thing. Do not let love be a stranger like it was in my lifetime. Open yourself to it and find a great man that will love you for you, not your possessions..."
Suddenly, Naomi cracks, and red energy surrounds her as her tears begin to run.
"Naomi, calm down!" Alonsa says.
"I'M GONNA KILL HER!" Naomi screams as she flies past Alonsa after Nenet.
"Naomi, STOP!" Alonsa calls.
Naomi doesn't listen as she flies, tears streaming from her eyes. When she finally gets Nenet in her sight, Naomi's fills her body become even more full of rage.
"DIE-!" Naomi screams.
"Stop..." a too familiar voice calls, taking hold of her shoulder.
Naomi gasps and turns to see Calankaiana is the one holding her back.
"B-But she-" Naomi says as her tears fall even faster down her face.
"I know what she did, considering it was me. But if you kill her, you will just be killing out of revenge, and that's just what she would want. Murdering her will only make you impure and full of hatred, nothing more." Calankaiana interupts.
Naomi is shocked, but is somehow calmed down by Calankaiana's words, and allows her to take her back to where Heru is now sobbing over Calankaiana's death, holding her body close in his arms. Fukayna sobs close by as her guards stand in respect a few yards away. Naomi watches as Calankaiana begins to silently cry, surprising both Naomi and Alonsa slightly.
Slowly, Calankaiana floats down to Heru's side, hugging him though he can't feel her.
"Heru, I am so sorry." Calankaiana says.
Heru still doesn't hear her or notice her.
"He cannot hear me." Calankaiana says as she floats back to Naomi and Alonsa.
"He heard me last night." Naomi comments.
Alonsa and Calankaiana turn towards her.
"Can you speak to him for me?" Calankaiana asks.
Naomi is surprised by her favor.
"Uh, I guess so." Naomi says as she floats down to Heru's side.
She slowly puts her hand on his shoulder, and he flinches, noticing her presense.
"Heru, can you hear me?" Naomi says in a voice that sounds exactly like Calankaiana's.
Heru looks away from Calankaiana's body and looks in her direction, surprised by Naomi's voice.
"Calankaiana? Is that you?" Heru calls.
Calankaiana floats down to Naomi's side.
"Tell him I am sorry." Calankaiana asks.
Naomi nods.
"Heru, I am so sorry." Naomi says.
Heru's eyes widen in shock.
"It was not your fault."
"But, I was killed because I was tricked." Calankaiana says.
"But, I was killed because I was tricked-" Naomi repeats.
"That is the exact reason it is not your fault." Heru interupts.
Calankaiana smiles.
"Tell him that I love him and to be a great Pharaoh." Calankaiana asks as she begins to tear up even more.
Naomi nods.
"I love you Heru...be a great Pharaoh for me." Naomi says.
Heru's eyes widen.
"What?"
"I want you to take my place as the Pharaoh...I know you can do it..." Naomi says.
"Mukantagara..." Heru says.
"May Isis let us meet again...goodbye..." Naomi ends as she and Calankaiana float away to Fukayna.
"Fukayna..." Naomi says, Fukayna opens her eyes in surprise at the sound of her voice.
"Pharaoh?" Fukayna says.
"Yes, it is me...please, help Heru become the Pharaoh I know he will be..." Naomi says, Calankaiana nodding at her words.
Fukayna nods and slightly bows.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I shall never forget you." Fukayna answers,
Calankaiana smiles.
"Thank you Fukayna, you were always my most treasured friend." Naomi says as she pulls Calankaiana away from Fukayna and back towards Alonsa.
"So, what do you do now?" Alonsa asks.
"Well, in tradition, I wait until my funeral to pass over the other side." Calanakaiana explains.
"Oh." Naomi says.
"But, I think in my case, it's different." Calankaiana explains.
"What do you mean?" Naomi asks.
"Well, considering that my reincarnation is standing in front of me, I guess my soul will be taken down the river of reincarnation." Calankaiana answers.
Naomi smiles.
"Thank you for making my last days the happiest of my life." Calankaiana says.
A tear rolls down Naomi's face as she pulls Calankaiana into a hug.
"Your welcome. And thank you for living so that I could meet you. And I promise, I will live everyday to the fullest and keep my youth." Naomi answers, surprising Calankaiana.
Calankaiana grins and hugs her back.
"Good, and remember this. If you are ever scared or stuck, just think of me, and I will be there to guide you back to your path." Calankaiana says as she begins to glow a faint red.
Suddenly Calankaiana fades into a mist and disappears, leaving Naomi smiling as her voice whispers in her ear.
...Do not give up, for your life is important to not only you, but to everyone that seek you...
After a moment, Naomi turns back to Alonsa.
"What now?" Naomi asks.
"Now, we let time take it's course and go back to our time." Alonsa says.
"You mean, we go home?" Naomi asks.
Alonsa nods as she holds out her hand.
"Let's go home." Alonsa says, smiling.
Naomi smiles and takes her hand, then nods.
"Let's go...."
