WELCOME!

Hey there! Welcome to my blog! This my second blog, following my blog "Blog of an Anime Artist". But this one is completely different. That's right, no soul society, no Mariya Yattamori, no Soul Reapers, nothing at all. Instead, I'm letting you look into one of my favorite sports, Indy Car Racing. So, if you love racing, cars, crashing, comedy, adventure, romance, and a few blasts from the past, then this is the Blog for you. If not, you're loss. So, enjoy and come back next Saturday when the next part is released! Thanks!

Pit 20

"Naomi? Naomi!" Alonsa's voice rings through her ears, causing Naomi to jerk up.
"Huh? What? What happened?!" Naomi yells, confused out of her mind.
After a few moments of Alonsa's shushing, she sighs, knowing now that she just over reacted. She looks around the room to see that she is in the same room as she had been in earlier, though the sun is now showing through the blinds.
"My, you must of had such a dream." Alonsa says as she walks to a chair beside the bed.
"What happened?" Naomi asks.
Alonsa falls quiet for a moment.
"You called out the name that I had used when you were Princess of Greece." Alonsa answers.
Naomi gasps slightly. The dream that she had had of Ancient Greece had been real at one point in history. Meaning that the boy who looked like Heru, must of been real too!
"The boy! Was he the reincarnation of Heru?!" Naomi asks, throwing her arms around Alonsa.
Alonsa is taken surprise by Naomi's outburst, before she sighs, taking Naomi's arms off her.
"If the boy Tharin is who you are speaking of, then I would have to say that you are correct." Alonsa answers.
Naomi sighs, not believing it. So, in the end, Heru and Calankaiana ended up meeting each other again, but as Tharin and Icicene in Ancient Greece. But, for some reason, Tharin had been blamed as a criminal, though she had claimed that he had been innocent. She stands, and a more serious expression takes hold of her face. She surprises Alonsa.
"What is it?" Alonsa asks.
"I want to finish my training with Calankaiana's ability." Naomi states.
Alonsa's eyes widen more.
"What? But you just woke up." Alonsa asks.
"Do not even try, she has made up her mind, Alonsa." a familiar voice says.
The two turn to see Calankaiana sitting in a seat by the bed, in her usual wear of beautiful jewelry and elegant dress.
"Hey Calankaiana." Naomi says, smiling.
Calankaiana returns the same smile, causing Naomi to calm slightly.
"Put up the void Alonsa, I want to see if she can do it yet." Calankaiana instucts.
Alonsa nods, before closing her eyes. Within seconds, the room fades into the familiar void, and Naomi's night clothes change into her beautiful white gown, while Calankaiana's just turns white. Alonsa's outfit takes form of her beautiful dress, her orange wings spreading wide from her back. Naomi takes the moment to look at her own wings, still small and immature, though a few inches larger from the first time she saw them, white as snow, proving that she truly is pure.
"Alright, show me what you got." Calankaiana says, grinning.
Naomi nods then turns away, trying to concentrate. She thinks back to when her Father died, causing the now  forming light ball to spark and light, looking awfully familiar to Calankaiana's original attack. Naomi grins, though trying to keep her concentration as to not lose control again. She turns and looks at Calankaiana, who looks more then surprised by Naomi's control of her original power.
"I need something to aim this at." Naomi says.
Calankaiana looks over at Alonsa, before nodding and turning back towards her.
"Aim it at me, Naomi." Calankaiana says, surprising Naomi.
"What?!" Naomi says.
"Calankaiana is the one that created this ability. If she finds that it's good enough, then you can continue on. Besides, you can't injure her, considering that she's just a spirit that you called upon." Alonsa explains.
Naomi looks back over at Calankaiana, before she responds by nodding solemnly. Naomi looks down, then sighs as she looks back up at her.
"Alright." Naomi agrees.
Without regret, the ball in her hand begins to spark and electrify with Naomi's energy, as flames that seem too hot begin to flame. As she stares down Calankaiana, she feels her body begin to glow a slight red before she winds up her arm like a pitcher.
"SEKHMET LIGHTNING INFERNO!" Naomi yells, throwing the ball straight towards Calankaiana at immense speed.
Calankaiana's eyes widen in shock at the power in Naomi's attack.
...how has she improved this much in such a short time!?...
Within seconds, the attack lands spot on, immediately catching all that surrounds it in flames. Naomi feels her heart skip a beat, worried about Calankaiana as the lightning erupts, striking all around the area. Suddenly, a pressure on her shoulder takes her by surprise.
"How...?" Calankaiana's voice asks.
Naomi turns around to see Calankaiana standing behind her, unscathed by the attack completely.
"What?" Naomi asks.
"How did you master my attack so quickly?" Calankaiana answers.
Naomi's eyes widen in surprise.
"Uh, I don't know, actually. It just kinda became something I could do easily." Naomi explains.
Calankaiana's look becomes the same.
"Incredible..." Calankaiana says, not believing it.
"Wait, so she did it perfectly?" Alonsa asks, not believing it either.
Calankaiana nods, causing Naomi to grin.
"Yes! I did it!" Naomi says, hugging Alonsa tight.
Suddenly, she feels a strange sensation on her back, actually going into her wings. She turns to see that her wings have grown out four more inches, the tips of a few beginning to take on the shade of gold. She stares in aww at the beautiful feathers, not believing what she's seeing. Then, she sees something red out of the corner of her eye. She looks up to see Calankaiana fading, taking them by surprise.
"Calankaiana?" Naomi says.
Calankaiana grins.
"I'm saddened to say that it is time for me to part with you for a while." Calankaiana says, becoming fainter by the second.
"What?" Alonsa says.
"Naomi has mastered my technique, so now I am not needed to be here." Calankaiana explains.
"No! But I'm gonna need you!" Naomi yells.
Calankaiana grins.
"You'll be fine Naomi. Besides, you know that I am always there." Calankaiana says.
"Where?" Naomi asks.
Now Calankaiana takes the opportunity to laugh.
"Naomi, have you not realized it yet? I am you. You and I are the same person, just different times of living is all." Calankaiana explains, "Besides, the next incarnation of us is waiting for you."
"Icicene." Alonsa says.
Calankaiana smiles.
"You had better hurry to her, she will probably be as glad to meet you as I was. Help her to the right path." Calankaiana instructs as she begins her final fade out.
"Calankaiana..." Naomi says.
"I know you will do great..." Calankaiana says before she disappears entirely, leaving Alonsa and Naomi alone in the void.
"I'm gonna miss her." Naomi says.
"So will I, but she was right. You two are the same person, so it's not like she really left you." Alonsa says, grinning.
Naomi chuckles.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. But still, it's bitter sweet." Naomi answers.
Alonsa chuckles this time.
"Yeah."
Naomi turns away, her wings flapping slightly as she walks.
"Where are you going?" Alonsa asks.
Naomi grins and looks over her shoulder.
"Where do you think? I'm going to Ancient Greece." Naomi answers.
Alonsa's eyes widen.
Naomi somehow breaks the power used to create the void, causing her to be back in her pjs. Alonsa gasps. None of the incarnations before Naomi has been able to break any of her spells, especially one of her most powerful ones, which is this. Naomi truly is much more powerful then any of the incarnations before, including Calankaiana. But something still enters her thoughts. If this is how powerful she is with only Calankaiana's ability of the Sekhmet Lightning Inferno, just how powerful will she be once she's attained Icicene's, Hikahime's and and Liliana's abilities, retrieved the mystic gem, found Edmundo's reincarnation, and gained her full wings at 19 years of age?!

Pit 19

"I can't believe that our little target this time is a little race-car driver, talk about a complete letdown on all of us." A high voice says through the dark.
"Do not let her appearance deceive you, Helveia, he's more then she appears to be." a super low voice booms from another side of the shadowed, dank room.
"He is right, Naomi Kingsfer is probably the strongest out of all the reincarnations of the Mortal Guardian Angel. We must take heave and watch her closely if we want to carry out Master's order to there full extent." another man's voice warns as it's owner steps from the shadows.
The man wears a long, black cloak, covering him from head to toe in nothing but ebony intentions and mysterious power, even cloaking his face from anylight whatsoever that comes from an unusual purple flame. And, it seems the only thing that is seen by this being is his large black wings, folded on his back with no intention to even flutter.
"So, how are we gonna kill the little princess this time?" Helveia asks, her voice snickering.
"I think I will be the to take of that buisness, don't worry, that little wench will be dead in no time." another women's voice says as it's owner now steps into the light of the violet fire.
The women, looking no older then about 20, has long, curly, blood red hair that's tied loosley around the middle of her back. She wears a hoeish like cut off top with off the shoulder sleaves, matched with a striperlike mini skirt, a slit going up the side to reach the violet gem that holds the band, along with the rest of the mini, together. Right beside the gem, held by the band, a sword with a two sided blade rest againt her side, the sheath hiding the sword's want of blood on it steel blade. Along with knee high, heeled, black leather, tie up boots, a few pieces of dark jewelry and her even bigger and blacker wings, it completes her look as one of the group.
"Oh, c'mon, you've been the one that's killed her for the past 4000 years, it's not fair. Let one of us have a turn." Helveia's voice groans.
The women chuckles.
"I'm sorry to say Helveia, I cannot do that. Master has intrusted me with her, seeing as how I've been with Him for so long and always come through with my mission, so I don't think you even have a chance at getting the honor of murdering the little pure one." she says, grinning.
Helveia doesn't respond to the women's explanation, causing her to laugh.
"Alright then, Kalona, go, and finish her." the man says, before turning back to be swallowed by the darkness.
Kalona laughs.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Kalona says as she disappears into the darkness as well, her wings spreading wide as she vanishes...
Suddenly, Naomi sits up straight in her bed, her face covered in cold sweat. She looks around the room to see it somewhat deserted, the only person other then herself being Alonsa, who's out cold in a nearby by chair. Slowly, her hard pants begin to subside as she lays back down in her bed, pulling the covers over her face as she tries to get back to a normal dream.
Within minutes, she finds herself back in another place, though not as strange or mysterious as before. She finds herself on what appears to be a balcony, the banisters designed like those that even the angels would be impressed. She walks over and rests her hands on the fine marble and gasps at the vast view of the whimsical green surroundings, white marble temples, and beautiful crystal waterfall that flows into a speeding river. A soft breeze blows from a nearby hill, causing her to smile as a few goosebumps rise on her skin. When she reopens her eyes, she finds herself in a beautiful white gown, with emerald accents and gold jewelry. She goes to move her bangs from her eyes to feel something like metal leaves in her hair, and that her hair is up in a high ponytail, strands of gold streaming through her chestnut locks.
"Icicene! Where are you?!" a familiar voice yells.
She turns around to see Alonsa in a beautiful tan gown, though not too elaborate as her's. Her blonde hair is strung with silver, which beautifully compliments her eyes to a 'T'.
"Alonsa?" she asks.
Alonsa is surprised by the sound her name.
"Alonsa? Who's Alonsa? I'm Asia, you're lady in waiting, Princess." she responds, confused by the name 'Alonsa'.
Naomi gasps. Icicene? Princess? She's in another time like when she was with Calankaiana! Though, now, she's Icicene, Princess of Ancient Greece. Wow.
"Oh, I apologize. I am just so..." Naomi starts.
Asia grins.
"I understand Princess, but now is not the time. Now we must go and watch the tournament. It is in your honor." Asia says as she takes her arm, pulling her towards the mulit colored, curtain strewn opening.
Her eyes widen in surprise.
"What did you say?" Naomi (a.k.a. Icicene) asks.
Asia stops and turns towards her.
"The tournament. For your hand in marriage, remember?" Asia says.
"Huh?"
"Icicene, is something wrong?"
Suddenly, another person takes control of Naomi's body.
"Do you not listen to me?! I told you before, as well as my Father and brother. I have already chose a man, and I will not choose anyone but him!" Icicene breaks through.
"My lady, that man is an outlaw!-" Asia counters.
"Tharin is innocent! He was set up-" Icicene counters.
"Bite your tounge!" Asia hisses, silencing Icicene, "Your Father declared that the crime was Tharin's doing. So that is truth, now go before they start, or else your Father will have my head, now go!"
Asia pushes her through a large door to be on another balcony, the noise of many more people echoing from below. Icicene (Naomi's just kinda watching what's going on at the moment) turns and looks from the balcony to see a large arena where at least 150 men around her age are standing, cheering as soon as they see her.
"Gentlemen, this is your prize! The beautiful and gracing, Princess Icicene!" a man's voice shouts, sending the men and the audience below into an uproar.
"Oh, dear." Icicene whispers.
"Icicene, beautiful, and that of which even the Gods praise, please, pray for me as yours at the end of this tournament." one of the men in the arena calls from below.
"No, make it me!" another yells.
"No, me!" one more shouts.
"No, me." One voice says calmly, standing out from the others.
After a moment, one man comes to stand alone in front of the rest of the men, smiling up at her with the most handsome smile, causing her to begin to blush. But, as Naomi looks at him, she feels her heart skip at least five beats.
It's Heru...
"Tharin!" Icicene yells.
Heru is Tharin!? WHAT!
"I'll prove it, to everyone, that I am not what they think I am." Tharin says.
Icicene smiles, and nods.
"Alright, let the tournament begin!" Icicene yells, sending the men into an uproar once more.
She looks back down at Tharin and smiles, knowing that no matter how great the strenghs of the other men, Tharin, the only man she has or ever will land hands on her, will be the one victorious, and that is fact.

Pit 18

After about two days of being ambushes about her fainting spell the track, Naomi finally has enough space to go over to Alonsa's and continue her special ability training. As her motorcycle races down 70 towards Indy, she tries to remember the directions that Alonsa had given her to get to her house. As she turns off onto East Washington Street, she watches as Indy passes by, Lucas Oil Stadium dwarfing her as she passes by. Soon, comes the Indian Repertory Theater, as she has called one of her second homes since she was little. As she comes to the intersection of North West Street, a billboard catches her attention, making her smile. It's once of the pictures from the photo shoot she had done a few weeks back, the memory now seeming so far away. Her thoughts are cut when a honking from nearby catches her off guard, meaning that the light had just turned green. She grumbles under her breath as she turns right onto the new street.
"Ok, Alonsa said that after turning on North West, I'll see her apartment complex on the right. And it's the 1st one."  Naomi says as she rides, before seeing the large building coming up in the distance, the sign for "Agua Apartments"  sitting out front, "I guess that's it."
Within minutes of turning into the parking lot and walking up to the buildings, she grabs the paper from her jacket again and looks up Alonsa's house number. As she squints, the wind begins to blow hard. When it passes, she finds herself no longer outside, but in a ok sized living room, the window looking out on the canal.
"What the-?" Naomi starts.
"Naomi, good, you're here, I've been waiting for you to show up outside." Alonsa voice says from behind her.
Naomi turns to see Alonsa standing behind her, dressed down in regular jeans and a plain grey t-shirt. The only real difference is her large orange wings sticking out of her back, resting freely against her shirt.
"Well, we have no time for this. It's time to continue your training." Alonsa says as she snaps her fingers.
Within moments, the room fades into the void. Naomi smiles as she clothes transform into her beautiful white gown, the fabric gracing her body beautifully and her still premature wings grow painlessly from her back, the feathers seeming it be about an inch longer then before. As the skirt comes to rest around her legs, she looks over to see Alonsa back in her "angel gown" as she calls it, looking more beautiful than ever as her wings spread far from her back. Alonsa grins.
"Begin." Alonsa says, sitting on nothing but air.
Naomi nods and turns away from here, before breathing deeply.
...ok Calankaiana, help me out here...
Suddenly, a strong breeze takes course around Naomi, blowing her hair around her face at different angles. She holds her arms up to protect her from the howling winds. As the air becomes still, Naomi opens her eyes to happy sight.
"I am happy to see that you are finally trying to master my technique, though from what I take from what is occurring here, I guess you are just not getting it." Calankaiana says as she steps closer, her clothes now also pure white.
Naomi grins.
"Ok, now, since you are the one who created this, I figure that you can teach it. Right?" Naomi asks.
Calankaiana laughs.
"Alright." Calankaiana says as she comes to stand next to Naomi, "First of all, try to build up all the spiritual intuition in your body."
Naomi looks confused.
"How the heck do I do that?"
Calankaiana looks surprised by her question, then turns towards Alonsa.
"Well, there is one reason right there that says why she is not learning this. You did not show her how to control her spiritual intuition."
Alonsa scratches her head as she gets up and floats over to them.
"It seems that that step slipped my mind. Alright, try to imagine a time where pure emotion took over your body." Alonsa says.
Naomi nods, then tries to think of past events where she had been impacted emotionally. Within an instant two different images come to her mind.
March 1994
Being only 2 years old, the memory blurs in some areas, but the truly definite areas are all to memorable to ever forget. Her mom holds tight to her hand as they walk through police tap, only yellow strips of plastic that Naomi still didn't understand. In the distance, sirens call to each other, one answers the other in the same high shrill cry. A few yards away, scarlet markings on the ground lie drenched in different patterns around the scene, a white sheet laying in the over a bumpy mass in the middle of the scrap metal. Her mom's hand begins to shake in her's, surprising her. Naomi looks up to see clear tears running down her mom's face, a hand over her mouth as if to keep out her mourning cries of grief. A man comes over and kneels to be at her level, looking her straight in the eyes with empathy and guilt.
"Sorry kid, but we didn't get here soon enough to save your daddy." the man says before he rubs her head.
Suddenly, Naomi realizes what's all going on around her, the sights all starting to make sense.
Someone is dead.
Without thinking Naomi pulls herself from her mom's shaking hand and begins to run towards the lumpy white sheet, knowing that her dad is underneath. As she comes within a yard of the thing, two men jump in from nowhere and pull her back, Naomi fighting with all her little strengh that she could muster to free herself. As they hold her up, she cries to Daddy over and over again, hoping he'd hear her and would come to calm her down, like he always did. But the body underneath the sheet didn't move even that of a milimeter, causing Naomi to work even harder against them.
Suddenly, power rushes into her, and she turns to look at the man. Her eyes shine red with anger and confusion, surprising the man, giving her an opening to take. As if knowledge of fighting had been in her blood for ages, she brings her knee up to his chin with brute force, sending him stumbling backwards. While the other man was distracted by his falling accomplice, Naomi turned herself around in his arms and kicks him right in the groin, sending him also to the ground.
She lands strong on her feet, turning away from her shocked mom, and running once again towards the body nearby, calling her dad as she runs again. As she runs she turns her head to see a man watching from nearby, his eyes glaring her down as if she was the killer of her own father. Her heart begins to pound and her feet stop in mid step, her ears also beginning to ring. Within seconds, she finds herself falling to the ground, the world darkening around her, until the world fades to black, the same color of what she thought were wings attached to the back of the mysterious man...
Present
Naomi blinks as she suddenly feels herself being shaken.
"Huh? What-Wha-?" Naomi starts, confused.
"Are you alright, you totally zoned out." Alonsa asks, Calankaiana looking just as worried.
Naomi sighs.
"Let's just say that I was thinking of a painful moment." Naomi says as she looks away.
"You were thinking about your father's death, were you not?" Calankaiana asks.
Naomi looks up, surprised by the fact that Calankaiana knew exactly what she was thinking.
"H-How did you-?"
"You showed me all your memories when I showed you mine. I have a good understanding of what has hurt you in the past." Calankaiana explains.
Naomi looks away. Calankaiana puts her hand on Naomi's shoulder, trying to calm her in a way.
"Now that this is behind us, use the power that you remeber creating through your own powerful emotions."
Naomi nods, then breaths in deeply. Slowly, she feels the energy inside her beginning to boil, heat climbing up her body until all she felt was tingling and might. She looks down at her hands to see a slight red glow surounding her, reminding her of when she lost her cool after seeing Calanakaiana dead. She looks up to see Calankaiana and Alonsa grinning.
Calankaiana walks over to her side, beginning to glow as well.
"Now, hold your hand out and try to focus all your energy into your palm." Calankaiana says as she holds her own arm out.
Naomi nods and does the same, focusing all her might on her hand. Slowly, the disformed object begins to form in her hand, except this time, the shape is more refined, actually looking more like that of a ball. Calankaiana nods as a even more refined ball takes shape in her own palm.
"Now, try to add anger to it, as if it is the living form of your hate and sorrow." Calankaiana says as she stares down her ball, static noises beginning to crack in and around the floating ball.
She breaths and turns to face her own hand, the thought of Nenet and the men who held her away from her father coming back into Naomi's mind. Suddenly, the ball begins to crack and spark electric light, the ball beginning to flame up like fire. She turns to look towards Calankaiana to see her look pretty impressed.
She turns back and fades back into thinking about her father. Without knowing, the ball in her hand grows immensly, surprising even Calankaiana. She shutters in anger, wishing that the person who had hit her father would be found, paying for the crime of killing her loving, kind father.
Within an instant, the red aura around her intensifies, her wings growing slightly to the point of which  they spread far, making the little premature wings look even bigger then they were seconds before. She opens her eyes in surprise.
...Crap, I'm loosing control of my spiritual intuition!...
"A-Alonsa!" Naomi yells, unable to stop her growing power.
"Calankaiana, how do I stop it?" Alonsa asks, perplexed by the growing issue.
Calankaiana bites her lip, looking back at Naomi as her own fire ball vanishes from her palm. She sighs and hurries over to Naomi's side, a little overwelmed by Naomi's great power.
"Forgive me, Naomi." Calankaiana whispers.
Slowly she reaches through the red screen of spiritual intuition and slams her hand into the back of the Naomi's neck, surprising her. In an instant, Naomi falls to the ground, Calankaiana's hit causing her consciousness to leave, along with her out of control power.
Calankaiana breaths heavily as she kneels next to Naomi, Alonsa flying to be next to her.
"You knocked her out-?!" Alonsa yells.
"It was the only thing I could do. Until she learns how to turn off her powers on her own, this will happen." Calankaiana interupts.
"But why didn't you just shake some sense into her or something?"
"Unlike last time, she had created her powers purposly, not accidentally, the only reason I did not need knock her out was because she was acting on pure hate, which can be diminished just by calming the person down."
Alonsa looks away, looking back on the time Naomi had lost her composure in the past after seeing herself be killed and betrayed by one of her trusted servants, Nenet. She looks back up to see Calankaiana beginning to glow a soft red, surprising her.
"Ca-Calankaiana-?"
"It appears that my time here for now is over."
"Your Highness-"
"I hope to return to see that she has matured in more ways then one..." Calankaiana says as she disappears, a strong breeze following close behind.
Alonsa watches until the mist disappears, then sighs starring down at the unconscious.
"4000 years, and she still scolds me. I'm hopeless, aren't I Naomi?"

Pit 17

Naomi's eyes blur as she tries to open them, blinded by the light that's all around her. As her vision begins to clear, she remembers what happened. She remembers the race and her almost crash, Calankaiana saving her from instant death and finishing the race for her, and how when she was given back control, imense pain filled her body, only to met by darkness probably only seconds later. She tries to move her hand to luckily find no pain at all, the same with her legs and neck. Slowly, she rises to a sitting position, and she looks around, now able to see everything clearly.
She's seen this room before. It's the medical center inside the track, one that she had visited earlier to talk to Kaylee, who wasn't feeling so well at the time. She looks down to see yet another IV stuck into her left arm, causing her to grunt, always beings the type that hated having to be stuck with needles. She looks to see that her bed is sectioned off by a yellow curtain, dividing her from the rest of the building, she looks down to see her firesuit gone, only in her sweets and black tee, nothing showing that she had just raced. Luckily, no one has taken off her fake opal and the necklace Alonsa probably gave her. She squizes it hard, wishing that Alonsa could come and explain to her what had happen to her.
Suddenly, she feels the pendant beginning to heat up in her fist. She opens her hand to find it glowing a slight dark blue color, and making a high humming type noise, though it doesn't move at all. She scratches her head in confusion, unable to figure out what is happening.
"This thing just gets weirder and weirder." Naomi says, starring at the pendant, her voice cracking slightly.
Without notice, the pendant shoots a large beam around the area, before it lands on the ground her right beside her bed. Within seconds, a form begins to build from the light on the ground, causing Naomi to become a little freaked out. But, as the thing continues to quickly form, she finds that she can tell what it is. But, before she can speak, the light bursts like glass, shattering to reveal Alonsa, shock by her appearance in front of Naomi.
"H-How did-When did-Why did-?" Alonsa mumbles, apparentlly just as stunned as Naomi.
"Well, that's weird." Naomi comments.
Alonsa whips her head up, and smiles when her eyes fall on Naomi.
"Naomi, you're awake!" Alonsa says as she hurries to the side of Naomi's bed, sitting next to her legs.
"Y-Yeah, I just woke up. And this thing just went wacko." Naomi says, holding up her pendant.
Alonsa looks confused.
"What do you mean?"
"The reason you're here is because of this thing."
"But how?"
"How the heck should I know. One second, it's acting perfectly normal, the next, it's shooting blue beams everywhere and makes you appear within seconds."
"Blu beams?"
"Yeah, blue beams, it was weird."
"So, you've already developed it."
"Huh? Developed what?"
"Your soul color."
"My soul wha?"
"You see, in each of your life times, you've had one color the resembled you throughout your life. For instance, when you lived as Calankaiana, your soul color was red." Alonsa explains.
"Ok, continue."
"When you were princess of Greece, your soul color was green, When Empress of Japan, purple, and while you were Countess of Spain, it was a orange/yellow."
"So, what is it now?" Naomi asks.
"Dark blue." Alonsa answers.
"How can you tell that?"
"You said that your pendant started shooting blue beams, and considering that you didn't say light blue, I'm gonna guess that they were dark blue."
"Alright, but what do those beams have to do with my soul color?"
"That pendant actually has a few powers in itself."
"It what?!"
"It has the power to transport objects that the wearer needs, as well as track family members and loved ones. As well as create a impenetrable shield or barrier once per day and track certain Spiritual Intuitions if needed."
"WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL ME THAT BEFORE!" Naomi shouts, irritated.
"Because I didn't know if you had enough power yet to trigger any of the abilities."
Naomi quiets.
"The fact that you probably use the ability to transport items, it means that your accident probably triggered your powers to come into fuller effect to keep you stable, if not alive during your time of unconsciousness."
"Huh?" Naomi says, confused.
"Your powers are greater because of your accident eariler today." Alonsa simplifies.
"Oh."
"Maybe they improved enough that next time, you can actually create a ball of fire, instead of whatever it was you made last time-"
"SHUT UP! It was my first time, so you have nor right to judge how my thing looked!" Naomi snaps.
"So you admit that it wasn't a ball-?"
"I NEVER SAID THAT AT ALL!"
"But you just said it was a "thing", not a ball, meaning that you didn't think it was a ball-"
"A BALL IS A THING!"
"But you didn't call it a ball-"
"WILL YOU JUST DROP IT!?"
"Alright, why can't you admit it wasn't a ball-?"
"YOU'RE NOT DROPPING IT!"
"Sorry, jeez."
\The two sit silent for a few minutes, before Naomi can no longer stand the awkward silence between them.
"Why didn't I ever see Calankaiana use it?" Naomi asks, surprising Alonsa.
Alonsa looks down.
"She was ashamed of being seen using it."
"Huh?"
"To have to acquire the power of an object over using her own power and abilities made her feel like she was sacrificing her strengh to use an object like this. Another reason is that she only got it about a day or two before she died, so she never had the time to learn the true abilities of the pendant."
"That's so stupid."
"Hmm?"
"She sacrificed maybe avoiding death just to keep her strengh and pride the way she wanted it to appear to her people. She didn't even take into account that it might of saved Heru in the first place, if not stopped the abduction in the first place," Naomi explains, before chuckling, "But seeing as how she never did have the time to truly unleash it on anyone, I guess I can't really blame her for acting self-centered in the first place."
"Naomi..." Alonsa whispers.
Naomi yawns and falls back on the pillow.
"So, did I ever use the abilities in any of my other lives?"
"Actually, yes. While in Greece, you grew up owning the necklace, so you learned at a young age about it's abilities. It was the same occurance when you were living in Spain, and unlike with Calankaiana, you used it to it's full potential in both of those lives."
"What about my life in Japan?"
Alonsa falls silent.
"Hikahime hated violence, so she never wanted to learn about the necklaces powers, because she believed they would only cause harm to the people of Japan." Alonsa explains, "Though, ironically, she was the best swordsmen the land had ever seen, even surpassing those of the samurai at only the age of 13."
"Wow, that's impressive. At 13, I could only take apart a car and put it back together again." Naomi laughs, "Though it always looked different at the end. But I've gotten better over the years I guess."
Alonsa smiles.
"Yes, I always loved Hikahime's nature. It made me feel like she would be safer if she took the way of peace instead of violence."
Naomi watches as Alonsa's smiles disappears.
"But, in the end, she died just as Calankaiana and Icicene did, young and in vain."
"Alonsa..." Naomi whispers.
Alonsa forces a smile as she gets up from the side of Naomi's bed.
"Well, that's all in the past. Now, you're the one I have to worry about, so I'll have no time to think about the others before you." Alonsa says as she pats Naomi on the shoulder, then turns, "I'm going to go get the doctor so that you can get out of here."
"A-Alright." Naomi says as Alonsa pulls the curtain back, and disappears, her echoing footsteps eventually fading away into the distance.
Naomi sighs and stares up at the pendant in her hand.
"Calankaiana, Icicene, Hikahime, Liliana. Those were all my name once. Only one has a face to it, while the others are just ideas Alonsa has stuck into my mind with facts and her old memories. But, I do know something. I won't be another name, this time I'll succed."
