Pit 13

Naomi stares in shock at the two small, but feathery wings spread in a flying type position on her back, their appearance amazing, but shocking. Quickly, Naomi swims up to the surface where Alonsa is waiting. When she breaks the water, she let's it out.
"I HAVE WINGS!!!" Naomi yells, stunned by what's on her back.
"I told you that-" Alonsa starts
"I know what you said, and in the context, you never mentioned wings!" Naomi snaps.
"You don't like them?" Alonsa asks.
Naomi shuts up then looks back to see the small ruffled wings folded gently on her back, making them even smaller.
"They look like they belong to newborn birds!" Naomi yells.
"What, you expect wings to be full grown from the start?" Alonsa asks, surprising Naomi.
"You mean they aren't?" Naomi asks.
"Yes, your wings aren't fully grown until your powers and spiritual intuition are at their full max." Alonsa answers.
"What's spiritual intuition?" Naomi asks.
"Spiritual Intuition is how in touch we are with God and the purities of the world. It also is how you locate demons and Fallen Angels in an area." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, like a spirit detector?"
"In a way, yes."
"So, why did we have to come to this pool?" Naomi asks.
"Until your wings are fully grown, they will only appear when they're wet."
"Why's that?"
"Because we don't want you walking around with premature wings and water is one of the purest elements on Earth."
"Oh, so how long will it take for them to become fully grown?"
"It depends on how long it takes you to master your powers. It could be weeks, months, even years if it takes that long."
"Years! You've gotta be joking!"
"I'm not."
"How long did it take you?!"
Alonsa thinks it over.
"Oh, uh, maybe two or three years."
"Two or three years!?"
"Yes, why do you keep repeating everything I say?"
"Because I'm too confused to think of anything on my own!"
"Ok, ok, calm down. Breath for God's sake Naomi." Alonsa says, trying to calm Naomi down.
When Naomi is finally calm enough to think her own thoughts, she dives back under the water so to clear mind. As she swims, she begins to play with how to move her wings. They flip and fold, moving in cute displays and styles, showing off each of the gentle, premature feathers. It's now that she realizes that unlike Alonsa's, her's are pure white. Out of the erge to know, Naomi quickly kicks back towards Alonsa, rising out the water.
"Hey, why aren't mine orange?" Naomi asks.
"Each angel has a different color of wings, the color representing them." Alonsa explains.
"Oh. What does Orange represent?"
"It represents enthusiasm, fadcination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation."
"That sounds about right. So, what about white?"
"Let's see. I think white is told to mean light, goodness, innocence, purity, and virginity."
"You think?"
"Well, you see, there has never been an angel with white wings." Alonsa explains.
Naomi's eyes widen in shock.
"Really?"
"Yes, in the prophecy, it is said that only the Guardian Angel of Mortals shall have white wings. Another reason why I know you are the Mortal Guardian Angel."
Naomi floats quietly for a minute, before looking back at Alonsa.
"What do black wings mean?"
Alonsa is surprised by her question. But before too long, her eyes narrow and she becomes more serious.
"Black wings indicate a very powerful falled angel. The tint of the wings initially means power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Though, not all fallen angels' wings are black."
"What?"
"Actually, black is the rarest of the colors, only reserved for the most powerful Douin Kuroi. The wing color is based on gender. If female, they are usually dark purple or pine green, while with males they're crimson or midnight blue."
"Oh."
They fall silent.
"So...now what?" Naomi asks.
"Now, we return back to the hospital." Alonsa answers.
"Huh?"
Suddenly, bright light consumes them, making Naomi feel like she's being lifted from the water. When she senses the light fading, she slowly opens her to the amazement of the hospital's bathroom, Alonsa and herself back in nightgowns and dry. Alonsa smiles as her wings disappear into thin air, as if they were just an illusion. Naomi looks at her back too to see her wings gone too, since she's no longer wet, it makes sense.
"Wow." Naomi says as she gets up off the dented trash can.
"Yeah, to you I guess it would be." Alonsa says.
Suddenly, there's a beating on the door.
"Naomi, get your butt out here!" she hears her mom say from the other side of the door.
"I guess they found me." Naomi says.
"It would seem so." Alonsa agrees, before her eyes land on Naomi's necklace.
Naomi notices.
"Oh yeah, can you explain how this middle piece is now red?" Naomi asks as she holds up the pendant.
"It wasn't that color before. This has never happened." Alonsa says as she walks over and takes the pendant from Naomi, inspecting it.
"Naomi Jennifer Kingsfer, come out here this instant!" her mom yells.
"Crap, now she's really p.o.ed." Naomi says as she takes her necklace from Alonsa and hurries to the door.
"I'll be out there in a minute." Alonsa says as Naomi unlocks the door.
"Kay." Naomi says as she opens the door, only to be jerked away by her unseen mother.
Alonsa smiles as she hears the arguement between Naomi and her mother, which at the moment, Naomi is winning. Alonsa walks quietly to a stall and closes the door behind her, turning away. From thin air, her wings reappear, as well as a phone, which seems to be very new. She unlocks the phone and touches the dialer button, it pulling up numbers. But instead of the star like on a usual phone, the image of a passion flower is there in the 12 box. Alonsa clicks it quickly and holds it to her ear. At that second, another chocker-like necklace appears around her neck, a topaz teardrop pendant glowing  around the chain as it morphes out of nothing.
Suddenly, the room begins to fade until there's no reminence of the bathroom left. As she floats in the void of white, her night gown begins to transform. The simple gray design turns into a pure white dress, the straps transcending down her arms at a steep angle, creating the top of her kimono-styled sleeves, orange beads hanging from the top of the sleeves. The sleeves come together at a topaz gem at about the brest bone. The gown then travels down loosly to the top of her waist, until three rope-like cords tie around her waist to the back, then flowing gently out into a full, non-bulky, bubble skirt with beading and a light orange under skirt. Kept held by the cord are two paterned sashes that go over her shoulders and flow at the front and back, beads fanging from the endsjust like the end of the bubble skirt and top of sleeves, making her light orange flats vanish. Her wings grow slightly as a gold head-dress appears on her head, at the same time as her topaz, teardrop earrings, matching her teardrop pendant.
Finally, her curly, blonde hair grows to fall at about her knees and a golden halo of light takes place above her head, finishing her transformation.
Slowly, the light fades to reveal a beautiful paradise full of sunshine and flowers, petals blowing on the wind coming from a nearby meadow. In front of Alonsa stands temple-looking buildings that look like those from ancient Greece, a waterfall flowing from the side of the largest one, trees surronding and shading some of the area. She smiles as her wings widen, then begin to beat hard, her feet now off the ground. She flies gracefully past the buildings towards the largest one. Around her, others fly arround, when they catch sight of her, they bow slightly, and watch as she flies past. Quickly she lands at the entrance of the large temple. She walks in to now appears to be a grand library and stops in front of a girl with the brightest of silver wings. She wears a one sleeved dress, two cords tied tightly close together right below her breasts into a bow in the back, then flowing out into a 2 layer skirt, the under skirt a light gray, hiding her shiny silver flats. At the top of the shoulder of her sleeved arm, a sash resembling Alonsa's flows in the front in back, the other arm, with only a thick spagetthi-type strap, tied with the same. Her long, straight, light green hair is tied into a low ponytail, strings of silver beads that match the ones hanging from her sash and top layer of her skirt intertwined with her locks. A similar teardrop pendant and earrings are what she wears, her's though silver. Last but not least, the gold head dress sits nicely in place, finishing her look.
She spots Alonsa with her blue eyes and grins, turning away from a row of books.
"Well, it has been a long time, Serenity." the girl says, calling Alonsa by her true name.
"Nice to see you Analise, I have to report." Alonsa answers.
"Report? So, you found her?" Analise asks as she readjusts her rectangle glasses.
"Yes, I did."
"What is she this time? A Duchess? The daughter of a Sultan?"
"A race car driver from Plainfield, Indiana."
Analise's eyes widen in surprise.
"A race car driver? From Plainfield? You have to be joking." Analise says.
"I am not. I am certain that Naomi is who I've been searching for." Alonsa answers.
"But she is not of royal blood, so she cannot be her."
"I would know Calankaiana, Icicene, Hikaheme, and Liliana when I see them. She is them."
"Are you sure that you just haven't made this all up in your head, seeing as how it's taken you about 400 years to find her again. The last time, it only took you a hundred."
"That's because I was looking in all the wrong places. I was looking for a girl born into a royal family."
"As you should be."
"But what if this time she was born into a non-royal body? One that would be harder for the Devil and his Douin Kuroi to track down. It seems logical."
Analise thinks.
"Yes, I guess it would be easier for her to be left under radar." Analise admits.
"Also, she looks exactly like Calankaiana and Hikaheme." Alonsa says.
Analise is confused.
"Why not Icicene and Liliana?" Analise asks.
"Icicene and Liliana had light blue eyes. Calankaiana, Hikaheme, and Naomi have hazel eyes." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, I see. Well, He is in the Sanctuary Temple. Judging by how great this news is, I would be lead to believe He is probably expecting you."
"Thank you."
Gently, Alonsa begins to float and turns to fly out.
"Serenity." Analise calls, causing Alonsa to look at her from over the shoulder.
Analise smiles.
"Welcome back to Heaven." Analise says.
Alonsa smiles back.
"Thanks." she callls as she flies out, heading to where God is probably waiting.

Pit 12

Slowly, light begins to enters Naomi's eyes as she blinks after it goes dark for a moment. As her eyes adjusts, she hears the the stomping of footsteps coming closer to her. When she is finally able to see clearly, she sees Kaylee standing over her with her mom and brother, starring at her as if she had just come back to life.
"Why are you all standing over me?" Naomi asks.
Within an instant, her mom is crying, Kaylee is hugging her like crazy, and her brother? Well, let's just say that he was more worried about getting to the next level of his nintendo game than her.
"Will you let go of me?! I can't breath!" Naomi snaps as Kaylee holds her tight.
Kaylee does as asked and lets her go, allowing Naomi to gasp in air.
"Oh Honey, I was so worried about you. When I got the call from Mr. Stevens that you had been rushed to the hospital, I couldn't believe it." her mom says as tears still fall from her cheeks.
Naomi's eyes widen in surprise.
"Hospital?" Naomi says as she looks around, just now noticing that she's in a hospital, an IV stabbed into her left arm.
"You mean you don't remember?" Kaylee asks.
Naomi shakes her head.
"Well, as you were being introduced to your new team-mate, you two keeled over and wouldn't wake up. After about 10 minutes, Penny called 911 an for the past day or two, you've been out." Kaylee explains.
"Is Alonsa alright?" Naomi asks, unusally worried about her.
Kaylee nods.
"She woke up about 20 minutes ago, she's been escorted downstairs to get something to eat." her mom says as she points to the door.
Naomi thinks of all that has happened to her over the past two days. Was she really in ancient Egypt? Did she really meet Calankaiana? Or did she just dream it all. Though, the thought of Calankaiana brought a dull pain to her chest, thinking of how she was so brutally murdered. Suddenly, her hand raises to clutch something around her neck. Her eyes widen as she looks down to see the pendant Heru had given Calankaiana around her neck. Except now, it's slightly different. Now, the middle crystal petal is tinted red unlike how it was clear before.
"Where did you get that?" Kaylee asks as she notices the necklace around Naomi's neck.
"You mean you didn't give it to me?" Naomi asks, surprised.
Kaylee shakes her head, as well as her mom.
Naomi turns her attention back to the pendant, then turns and pulls off her covers.
"What are you doing?" her mom asks Naomi turns to have her legs hanging off the right side of the bed.
"What does it look like? I'm getting out of this bed, then going downstairs to get something to eat." Naomi says as she jumps off the bed, her bare feet landing on the cool tiled floor.
"Don't you think you should wait for the doctor?" her mom asks as Naomi walks around the end of the bed to grab the IV pole and push it towards the door.
"Nope, see ya." Naomi says as she walks out of the room turning out to the hallway.
"Naomi! Come back!" her mom calls, only to be answered by the sound of the opening elevator door.
Naomi watches as her mom and Kaylee run out of her room after her, just to be met by the closing door.
She sighs as it begins to lower, glad that they didn't get to the elevator soon enough to drag her back to the room. She then turns her focus back on her necklace, that last she knew, was around Alonsa's neck in this time. Did this mean that what happened, was real?
When the door opens to the main floor, Naomi exits quickly and turns down the hall leaing to the cafeteria, the same one she has volunteered in before. As she walks quickly into the cafeteria, she instantly spots Alonsa's long, curly, blonde hair sitting with her back to her, eating. Naomi wastes no time walking over to her and putting her mouth to Alonsa's ear.
"Come with me to the bathroom. You've got some explaining to do." Naomi whispers, surprising Alonsa.
But, Alonsa nods and follows Naomi to the nearby bathroom, luckily getting in before her mom and Kaylee walk in. As soon as Naomi shuts the door and locks it behind her, she turns back to Alonsa, who's leaning against one of the sinks.
"Ok, please tell me that I'm not crazy and that what happened, really happened. Because if it didn't, I think I need to get some help. Especially after seeing her get killed like that. Man it still-" Naomi starts.
"Everything was real and you aren't crazy." Alonsa interupts, her orange wings suddenly appearing, "And these are here to prove it."
"Ok, you never did tell me why you have wings." Naomi comments.
"Well, I don't think I should tell you yet." Alonsa says.
"Oh, c'mon. I'm gonna get so irritated by them until you spill."
"I don't know-"
"Seriously, how weird can it be?"
Alonsa stays quiet for a minute, then sighs and looks back at her.
"Well, I guess explaining your mission will be easier to understand if I tell." she says.
"So..?" Naomi groans.
Alonsa sighs.
"I am a Douin Junsei(Pure Agent), or what you would call a "Guardian Angel". I have been sent by God to protect and guide you through your journey. My wings are proof." Alonsa says as her wings unfold slightly.
Naomi becomes speechless as she stares at Alonsa in shock.
...A Guardian Angel...sent by God..?!....
"You're joking, aren't you?" Naomi says after a moment or two.
"WHY WOULD I JOKE ABOUT THIS!?" Alonsa yells, aparentlly irritated by Naomi's question.
Naomi is stunned by Alonsa's response to her question. The act gives Naomi the weird gut feeling that what Alonsa said is true.
"Sorry, it's just hard to believe. I'm mean, you're an angel! It's gonna take more then two seconds to fully believe it." Naomi apologizes.
Alonsa looks irritated for another moment, before sighing, and chuckling.
"I guess you're right. I should of anticipated that, I suppose."
Naomi laughs, then sits on the top of the foot operated trashcan in the corner.
"So, what exavtly do you need me so much for?"
"You, are the reincarnation of-"
"Calankaiana. I know, I know." Naomi interupts.
"Well, not only her."
"Huh?"
"You are actually the reincarnation of four different girls. Calankaiana was only the first."
"So, who are the others?"
"After your death as Calankaiana, you were Princess Icicene of Greece, Empress Hikaheme of Japan, and Countess Liliana of Spain."
"Wow..."
"In each of your lifetimes, you had a different ability. But sadly, your powers never reached their full potentials."
"Why not?"
Alonsa becomes quiet, worrying Naomi.
"Alonsa, what happened?"
Finally, Alonsa looks back at her.
"...Your powers never fully developed because your powers fully awake when you turn 19, and you never have lived past 18..." Alonsa confesses.
Naomi eyes widen in shock.
"What...?" Naomi says.
"You always died before you could truly use your full power."
"But...why?..."
Calankaiana's death runs past Naomi's mind, sending shivers down her spin.
"That's part of your mission...actually."
"Just tell me!" Naomi snaps.
"You always died because the Devil was afraid of what would happen if your powers became stronger."
Naomi is surprised.
"What?"
"The Devil sent a Douin Kuroi(Black Agent) or "Fallen Angel" to each of the time periods that you lived in and had them kill you without drawing attention to themselves."
"He's that scared of me?"
"Yes."
"You still haven't really explained this misson."
"You must fight against the Devil and seal him."
"WHAT??!!"
"Shh!" Alonsa snaps as she runs over and covers Naomi's mouth.
"How in the world can I seal the Devil?! He's like the ultimate evil!"
"I wasn't done!" Alonsa says as she lowers her voice, "Before you can fight the Devil, you must master all four of your special attacks that you acquired from each life. This will take time, but in the end, you will be more powerful then you can ever imagine."
"How the heck am I supposed to do that?"
"Like when we visited the last day's of Calankaiana, we must travel to the last days of your past lives and gain information on what happened, then inbetween, work to master that incarnation's ability. For example, before we go to any other time periods, you must master the Sekhmet Lightning Inferno. If you don't, then your progress will become slower and your powers will take longer to awaken."
"I have to watch myself die three more times!?"
"I'm sorry, but you have to."
Naomi grits her teeth as she slams her clutched fist into the trashcan, slightly denting it. Alonsa frowns, concerned by Naomi's reaction.
"Oh, there's one other thing."
"What?" Naomi asks in an irritated tone.
"Come with me." Alonsa says, a ball of light appearing in her hand, surprising Naomi.
"What the heck is-" Naomi starts before being blinded by light.
When she reopens her eyes, she finds herself in a humid swimming pool area of what appears to be a public YMCA or something.
"How the heck did I get here?" Naomi says to herself, before looking down to see herself in a plain, teal bikini, "And when the heck did I change?!"
"Just one of the many little tricks you can do when you're an angel." Alonsa's voice says from across the room.
Naomi looks up from her swimsuit to see Alonsa standing on the opposite side of the pool wearing a very revealing orange poka-dot one-piece swimsuit, her hair up in a high ponytail. And, sticking right of her back in broad daylight are her large orange wings, making Naomi believe in her as an angel even more.
"You can teleport?"
"Yep, now get in."
"Why?" Naomi asks, confused.
"You'll see."
Naomi looks down into the clear water and smiles.
"Whatever you say." Naomi says as she steps back, then runs and jumps, "CANNONBALL!"
With a big splash, Naomi lands in the water, met with a chill when the cool water hits her skin. Naomi smiles as the water soaks through her hair, it wizzing gently around her face. From above she hears another splash, probably Alonsa jumping in. But, at the moment, she doesn't care. for some reason, swimming had always calmed her, though it then again sometimes she had a hesitense to get in, like she was scared of something. Oh well, but for now she was as happy as can be, soaring through the water like she had wings of her own. She smiles as she imagines beautiful, swan-like, no, angel-like wings flowing gracfully around, open and light connected to her body. It's now that she finally comes up for air, breathing in the nice air, then blinking to see Alonsa starring happily at her, her orange wings floating right on the top of the water.
"This is so much fun! I love this!" Naomi says as she makes a few small splashes.
Alonsa grins.
"I'm glad, but to have fun is actually not the reason I brought you here." Alonsa says.
Naomi is confused.
"Then why?"
"This might sound strange, considering you were just able to accept me being an Angel, but then again, it won't even be fully complete after you visit your last incarnation and master her power-" Alonsa babbles.
"What, Alonsa?!" Naomi interupts.
Alonsa looks irritated at her for interupting her out-loud thoughts, but sighs and gets to the point anyway.
"The reason that you have always been reicarnated as a powerful girl is because you are said to be the prophesied "Mortal Guardian Angel" sent by God himself to watch over his children and protect them from the dark intentions on the Devil and his followers, the Douin Kuroi." Alonsa explains.
Naomi's eyes widen.
"I'm the what?!" Naomi yells.
"Mortal Guardian Angel." And there is a little thing that happens in the prophesy when you transform, as told by God himself."
"What?" Naomi asks.
"Why don't you go under again with these and look." Alonsa says as she holds out a pair of goggles to Naomi.
She nods and takes them, easily slipping them under her hair and onto her eyes so her hair can float freely. With a deep breath, Naomi dives back under and kicks slowly as as swims towards the deep end. She smiles as she flies, the true feeling of imaginary wings making her feeling like she's soaring. But it's not until she turns that she finds that her little feeling, wasn't exactly as she thought...

Pit 11

Calankaiana gapes at the sword sticking out of Chuma's chest, blood dripping from the point. Chuma is even more surprised, wide eyed as he tries to take in air. Suddenly, the blade disappears back into the Lord's chest, releasing him to fall to the ground.
"Are you alright, my Pharaoh?" a familar voice says.
Calankaiana and Naomi look up and gasp when they see Fukayna holding the hilt of the bloody sword.
"Y-Yes, I am fine." Calankaiana answers, surprised.
"Nice work." Naomi compliments Alonsa, nudging her with her elbow.
"I wasn't about to let her die." Alonsa says.
"My Lord!" the pudgy man yells as the other men stare at the dead Lord.
Anger begins to rebuild in Calankaiana as she turns to face them, her glare causing them to freeze in terror. She opens her right palm to reveal sparks and a flame beginning to take shape into her special attack. Her eyes glow red, filled with same intent of death as Naomi's had been. The men drop Heru and begin to run, scared for their lives.
"You are not getting away. SEKHMET LIGHTNING INFERNO!" Calankaiana yells as she throws the now fully developed fireball at the four men.
Of course, it lands spot on, the men screaming as they go up in flames. Within seconds, the men are ash and the flame is gone, the violent wind the only clue that Calanakaiana had used her power.
"Fukayna." Calankaiana says.
"Yes, Your Highness?" Fukayna answers.
"Go and tell Chuma's men that their Lord has been killed, and if they value their lives, that they will surrender." Calankaiana orders.
"Yes Pharaoh." Fukayna says as she turns and runs back towards the Estate.
As the wind dies out, Calankaiana turns her attention back to Heru, who's holding tight to his shoulder where he had been stabbed with his still shackled hands. She feels her eyes fade as she comes to stand in front of Heru, his attention now turned towards her.
"Mukantagara...?" Heru says, calling Calankaiana by her birth name.
Without saying anything, Calankaiana kneels in front of him and works on taking off his shackles.
"I was worried about you." Calankaiana says as she works.
Heru looks surprised by what she says.
"I do not see why, I mean, I am nothing but a stable-hand. You on the other hand, are something to worry about." Heru says, looking away as Calankaiana undoes one of the cuffs.
Calankaiana gasps and looks up at him.
"On the way here, all they talked about was killing me to weaken you. I was scared, but for you. I do not really care what happens to me, seeing as how I am not all that important. But if someone is to threaten your life, I would do everything in my power to keep you safe. Because I love-" Heru explains.
Calankaiana doesn't let him finish and throws herself on him, and surprises him by stealing a kiss on the lips. She kisses him deeply, his surprise fading as he closes his eyes and raises his freed hand to hold the back of Calankaiana's head and the other around her waist. Calankaiana in reponse wraps her arms around his neck, holding herself close to him. Naomi and Alonsa are surprised, Naomi slightly blushing as she watches them make-out.
"Well, wasn't expecting that." Naomi comments.
"Nope." Alonsa says, both of them still watching.
When they finally stop, Heru stares at Calankaiana is surprise, taken back by her kiss.
"W-Why did you-?" Heru starts.
"You were going to say you love me, were you not?" Calankaiana asks.
Heru begins to blush.
"Y-Yes..." Heru admits.
Calankaiana grins, then begins to smile happily. She then looks back up at him, slightly blushing.
"You should of been able to tell that I loved you too since I accepted your beautiful necklace." Calankaiana says, as she clutches the necklace he gave her around her neck.
Heru eyes widen in shock. Then he grins and takes Calankaiana's left hand and pulls her into another kiss, she obviously not fighting against him.
"How romantic." Naomi comments as she watches him release and kiss Calankaiana on the forehead, before pulling her close with his uninjured arm.
Suddenly, the sound of beating hooves fills the air, drawing all of their attention towards a nearing man. From his side, he draws a sword, kicking at his horses flanks to make him go faster. Instinctively, Heru pushes Calankaiana behind him, knowing that the man is probably another assassin. But before he reaches them, an arrow stabs through his chest, and the man falls off his horse to the ground.
"My Pharaoh!" a girl calls a she passes the man on another horse.
"Nenet?!" Calankaiana calls as she gets up and runs to her side, surprised by her presence.
"Are you alright?" Nenet says as she gets off the horse, who Calankaiana can now tell is Ra, Heru's horse.
"Yes, but Heru's been injured." Calankaiana answers as she turns towards Heru, "If you could help, I can get him on my horse and-"
Suddenly, a sharp pain fill Calankaiana's body. Heru, Naomi, and Alonsa gasp as they see the point of a sword sticking through her chest.
"CALANKAIANA!" Heru yells.
"I am glad I got here in time, I would of been devastated if you had already been killed." Nenet says as she smirks.
Calankaiana turns to face Nenet and gasps as she she sees her eyes are crimson.
"Why...?" Calanakaiana says as she tries to get air into her lungs.
"You seriously never found out? I must give you too much credit. But, then again, your sister and Chuma were easy to bend, so I really should not be surprised." Nenet says, chuckling.
"So, Neema...and Chuma...they were just your puppets...that you hid behind...so that I...would never think of you...as an enemy..." Calankaiana says.
"Well, you certainly are quick. I'll give you that, but you will not need it where you are going." Nenet say as she pulls her sword out of Calankaiana, causing her to drop to the ground.
"Mukantagara!" Heru yells as she runs towards her, Nenet climbing back on Ra.
"See you later, idiots." Nenet says as she turns Ra towards the exit.
Alonsa turns in rage as Nenet rides off, then gasps. As Nenet rides, jet black wings appear on her back, spreading, then folding onto Nenet's back.
"A fallen angel..." Alonsa says in shock, then turns to Naomi, "Naomi, Nenet is a-"
She stops as she looks at Naomi, who's starring at Calankaiana in shock.
"Calankaiana...she just killed Calankaiana..." Naomi whispers.
Suddenly, Calankaiana's words begins to pass through her mind.
"...You would of hated this life. I am glad that eventually, I am so care-free and independent. Please, remember to never let go of your youth and happiness. I lost both such a long time ago, and I finally found at least my happiness today, through you and Heru..."
"Naomi...?" Alonsa whispers, her voice worried.
"...Please, never become what I am. Do not give in to what other think you should be and play along. Because in the end, you are no longer yourself. You are not even a true being..."
"Calankaiana..." Naomi whispers.
"...And one last thing. Do not let love be a stranger like it was in my lifetime. Open yourself to it and find a great man that will love you for you, not your possessions..."
Suddenly, Naomi cracks, and red energy surrounds her as her tears begin to run.
"Naomi, calm down!" Alonsa says.
"I'M GONNA KILL HER!" Naomi screams as she flies past Alonsa after Nenet.
"Naomi, STOP!" Alonsa calls.
Naomi doesn't listen as she flies, tears streaming from her eyes. When she finally gets Nenet in her sight, Naomi's fills her body become even more full of rage.
"DIE-!" Naomi screams.
"Stop..." a too familiar voice calls, taking hold of her shoulder.
Naomi gasps and turns to see Calankaiana is the one holding her back.
"B-But she-" Naomi says as her tears fall even faster down her face.
"I know what she did, considering it was me. But if you kill her, you will just be killing out of revenge, and that's just what she would want. Murdering her will only make you impure and full of hatred, nothing more." Calankaiana interupts.
Naomi is shocked, but is somehow calmed down by Calankaiana's words, and allows her to take her back to where Heru is now sobbing over Calankaiana's death, holding her body close in his arms. Fukayna sobs close by as her guards stand in respect a few yards away. Naomi watches as Calankaiana begins to silently cry, surprising both Naomi and Alonsa slightly.
Slowly, Calankaiana floats down to Heru's side, hugging him though he can't feel her.
"Heru, I am so sorry." Calankaiana says.
Heru still doesn't hear her or notice her.
"He cannot hear me." Calankaiana says as she floats back to Naomi and Alonsa.
"He heard me last night." Naomi comments.
Alonsa and Calankaiana turn towards her.
"Can you speak to him for me?" Calankaiana asks.
Naomi is surprised by her favor.
"Uh, I guess so." Naomi says as she floats down to Heru's side.
She slowly puts her hand on his shoulder, and he flinches, noticing her presense.
"Heru, can you hear me?" Naomi says in a voice that sounds exactly like Calankaiana's.
Heru looks away from Calankaiana's body and looks in her direction, surprised by Naomi's voice.
"Calankaiana? Is that you?" Heru calls.
Calankaiana floats down to Naomi's side.
"Tell him I am sorry." Calankaiana asks.
Naomi nods.
"Heru, I am so sorry." Naomi says.
Heru's eyes widen in shock.
"It was not your fault."
"But, I was killed because I was tricked." Calankaiana says.
"But, I was killed because I was tricked-" Naomi repeats.
"That is the exact reason it is not your fault." Heru interupts.
Calankaiana smiles.
"Tell him that I love him and to be a great Pharaoh." Calankaiana asks as she begins to tear up even more.
Naomi nods.
"I love you Heru...be a great Pharaoh for me." Naomi says.
Heru's eyes widen.
"What?"
"I want you to take my place as the Pharaoh...I know you can do it..." Naomi says.
"Mukantagara..." Heru says.
"May Isis let us meet again...goodbye..." Naomi ends as she and Calankaiana float away to Fukayna.
"Fukayna..." Naomi says, Fukayna opens her eyes in surprise at the sound of her voice.
"Pharaoh?" Fukayna says.
"Yes, it is me...please, help Heru become the Pharaoh I know he will be..." Naomi says, Calankaiana nodding at her words.
Fukayna nods and slightly bows.
"Yes, Your Majesty. I shall never forget you." Fukayna answers,
Calankaiana smiles.
"Thank you Fukayna, you were always my most treasured friend." Naomi says as she pulls Calankaiana away from Fukayna and back towards Alonsa.
"So, what do you do now?" Alonsa asks.
"Well, in tradition, I wait until my funeral to pass over the other side." Calanakaiana explains.
"Oh." Naomi says.
"But, I think in my case, it's different." Calankaiana explains.
"What do you mean?" Naomi asks.
"Well, considering that my reincarnation is standing in front of me, I guess my soul will be taken down the river of reincarnation." Calankaiana answers.
Naomi smiles.
"Thank you for making my last days the happiest of my life." Calankaiana says.
A tear rolls down Naomi's face as she pulls Calankaiana into a hug.
"Your welcome. And thank you for living so that I could meet you. And I promise, I will live everyday to the fullest and keep my youth." Naomi answers, surprising Calankaiana.
Calankaiana grins and hugs her back.
"Good, and remember this. If you are ever scared or stuck, just think of me, and I will be there to guide you back to your path." Calankaiana says as she begins to glow a faint red.
Suddenly Calankaiana fades into a mist and disappears, leaving Naomi smiling as her voice whispers in her ear.
...Do not give up, for your life is important to not only you, but to everyone that seek you...
After a moment, Naomi turns back to Alonsa.
"What now?" Naomi asks.
"Now, we let time take it's course and go back to our time." Alonsa says.
"You mean, we go home?" Naomi asks.
Alonsa nods as she holds out her hand.
"Let's go home." Alonsa says, smiling.
Naomi smiles and takes her hand, then nods.
"Let's go...."

Pit 10

Naomi follows Alonsa to the courtyard. The full moon bright and calming in the night sky.
"So, now what?" Naomi asks.
"Now, time moves forward." Alonsa answers.
"Huh?"
Suddenly the world begins to contort and twist, the wind blowing hard against Naomi's body. She covers her face until the wind begins to slow. As she reopens her eyes, she's surprised to find that they're back in Calankaiana's bed chamber, Nenet below putting the crown on Calankaiana's head.
"What the-?" Naomi says in shock.
"We have traveled in time to the following day." Alonsa explains.
Calankaiana looks up and catches them in her eye, smiling as a hello.
"Pharaoh!" a man shouts from down the hall, causing everyone to turn their heads.
Within a second, a palace guard is in the doorway, panting like crazy.
"What is wrong, Anum?" Calankaiana asks.
"Your Majesty, I was watching Heru as you asked, and, and some man took him on horseback!" Anum answers.
Calankaiana's and Naomi's eyes widen as Calankaiana's hand rises to clutch her necklace, the same Heru had given her.
"I tried everything I could to stop him, but I am afraid to say he disappeared." Anum continues.
"Get all the guards on that assianlants trail! I want that man caught! And I want Heru found! Understood!?" Calankaiana yells as she rises from her chair.
"Yes, my Pharaoh." Anum says as he runs off, a few other guards chasing after him.
"Nenet! Get Lotus!" Calankaiana says.
"Yes, your majesty." Nenet yells as she runs from Calankaiana's side.
Naomi flys to Calankaiana's side, Alonsa behind.
"C'mon, we have to find Heru!" Naomi yells.
"Right." Calankaiana says as they begin to race out of the room.
Suddenly, Neema steps from the shadows, blocking Calankaiana's path.
"Neema!" Calankaiana yells.
"Something wrong, dear sister?" Neema says with a smirk.
Calankaiana Snears as she takes hold of Neema's collar.
"What did you do?!" Calankaiana yells.
"Oh nothing, just sent a few lazy servants to work in the mines in the land on the other side of the water." Neema confesses.
Calanakaina's eyes widen in horror. She drops her hold on Neema.
"You sent Heru to a mine...?" Calanakaiana says.
"Now you will never see him again, have a good day." Neema says as she walks away, leaving Calankaiana standing in shock.
Naomi rushes to her side.
"Calanakaiana, are you alright?" Naomi asks.
"Heru, I will not be able to save him..." Calankaiana says as she drops to her knees.
"Snap out of it! You can save him, you love him, don't you?" Naomi yells.
"Yes.." Calankaiana answers.
"Then don't you want him to know?!" Naomi yells.
Calankaiana's eyes widen. She whipps her head up to look up at Naomi, who's eyes are slightly glowing red.
"I do." Calankaiana says.
"Then get off your butt and run!" Naomi yells as she pulls Calanakaiana to her feet, throws a sword into her hands, and pushes her forward, sending her sprintting.
As they enter the courtyard, they see Nenet holding the reigns of Lotus, who's waiting for her sattle. Calanakaiana runs and jumps onto Lotus' back, surprising Nenet as she takes Lotus' reigns and begins galloping at full speed, leading some guards out of the palace. Naomi, who's flying beside her looks down to see the hoof prints from the horse that must of taken Heru.
"This way!" Naomi says as she points north, causing Calankaiana to turn as she also spots the prints.
After about 20 minutes, Naomi begins to see familar places pass by.
"Calankaiana, is it just me, or does this look errily familar." Naomi says.
She nods as she kicks Lotus again in the flanks, making her whiney as she begins to fly even faster.
As they gallop, Calankaiana's eyes widen, and she whipps her head to the right.
"STOP!" Calankaiana yells as she pulls hard on the reigns, stopping Lotus and the rest of the horses in their tracks.
Suddenly, large bolders and rocks fly from the east, crashing only feet ahead of the group.
The horses begin to rear in surprise, scared by the loud crashing. Luckily, the guards and Calankaiana are able to keep their horses in check, but more bolders begins to fly close.
"GALLOP MEN!" Calankaiana yells as she kicks hard, making Lotus run fast.
The men do as told and follow fast behind, nearly hit by the rocks.
...They are after me, I know it!...
Calankaiana turns her horse and stays in line with the bolders. Some guards gasp in surprise.
"Pharaoh, what are you doing?!" a guard calls.
"Keep following those trails!" Calankaiana calls back, stopping Lotus.
"But, Your Higness-" another guard calls.
"GO!" Calankaiana snaps, the bolders crashing down around her.
The men look to each other, then nod.
"Yes, Your Majesty!" they call as they begin to ride away.
She grins and turns back, determination burning in her eyes under the blood coloring.
Naomi floats close, shocked.
"Why'd she do that?!" Naomi says.
"She doesn't want anyone to get hurt, so she's offering up her safety for their's." Alonsa answers.
"That's crazy!" Naomi says.
"Yes, but honorable and admirable." Alonsa comments.
Naomi eyes widen as she looks over at Calankaiana. She's grinning as a large, red, sparking, fireball appears in her left hand.
"Find the cause and destroy! SEKHMET LIGHTNING INFERNO!" Calankaiana yells as she whipps it over her head, it growing as it soars.
Instantly, it turns and sinks in the sky, creating a massive explosion when it hits, screams calling from the hit point.
"I knew it." Calanakaiana says.
"What?" Naomi asks.
"Those were Chuma's men, and I am just guessing, but it was probably also his men who kidnapped Heru. They did it so that they could get me out of the safety of the palace and try to kill me. Seems like my sister has teamed up with him." Calankaiana explains.
"That snake!" Naomi says, angry at Neema.
"However, Chuma did make some mistakes." Calankaiana says.
"Like what?" Alonsa asks.
"First of all, he should of known that my guards would come with me. Second, his men should not of fired so obviously. And third, he should not of been foolish enough to believe I would not be able to dodge." Calankaiana explains, then chuckling, "The man seems just too willing to show how much of an imbecile he truly is."
"Really?" a voice says from behind, surprising Calankaiana.
"What?!" Calankaiana says as she turns to her right.
As she turns, she spots a dark clothed man on another horse. Without hesitation, he thrusts his sword at Calankaiana, but luckily Lotus steps out of the way just before he can stab her.
"Go!" Calankaiana yells as she kicks again at Lotus' flanks.
Lotus complies and begins to gallop fast, the man following about 10 seconds later.
"Let me guess, same thing as the last time you used that power?" Naomi asks, flying next to Calankaiana.
"That is right." Calankaiana says as she nods.
...Chuma did that on purpose so that I would not notice the assasin!...that wretch of a man!...
Naomi turns and watches the man, remembering the other men who had tried to kill Calankaiana. How she had been so scared for Calankaiana, how Heru had risked his safety for her's...
Suddenly, anger and hatrid fills her, and she turns and flies to the back of Lotus to be face to face with the man. Alonsa notices.
"What are you doing?" Alonsa asks.
"What does it look like? I'm gonna kick that guy's butt into next week!" Naomi yells.
"How are you going to do that-?" Alonsa starts to ask.
"Just shut up and watch!" Naomi snaps as she looks back at them, her red eyes burning with the intent to injure, or even kill.
Calankaiana and Alonsa gape as Naomi stops and turns back to face the man. Her tight fist beginning to spark as she unclutches, soon turning to a inferno similar to Calankaiana's in her palm.
"She is using-?" Calankaiana starts
"This is for Calankaiana and Heru! SEKHMET LIGHTNING INFERNO!" Naomi screams as she throws the fireball at the man.
As it impacts the man, he becomes incased in flames. His horse rears and drops him, his screams of agony filling the air.
Calankaaiana and Alonsa stop about 20 feet after Naomi did, and stare in awe, the wind becoming violent as it travels from the impact zone.
"She used my attack perfectly..." Calankaiana says in amazement, "She truly is me..."
Alonsa nods, then quickly flies to Naomi side, as she pants after her attack.
"Are you alright?" Alonsa asks.
"Yeah, just a bit tired though." Naomi answers as she looks up at Alonsa, her eyes back to Hazel.
The sight causes Alonsa to smile.
"What are we doing still standing here for, we got to get back to looking for Heru." Naomi says as she turns and begins to walk towards Calankaiana.
Suddenly, Naomi's feet give out and she falls to the ground.
"Naomi!" Alonsa yells as she kneels at Naomi's side.
"Wow, I don't feel as great as I once thought." Naomi says
Alonsa's look of worry turns to a content frown as she lifts Naomi to put her on her back, gently releasing her between her orange wings.
"Is she alright?" Calankaiana asks as Alonsa flies back to her side.
"Just tired, nothing more." Alonsa answers as Calankaiana kicks at Lotus' flanks, making her start galloping again.
After about 10 minutes of riding, Calankaiana stops about half a mile away from the Lord's estate, the sound of fighting and battle cries ringing from inside the high walls.
"It seems they found where Heru was taken." Naomi says, looking over Alonsa's shoulders.
Calankaiana nods, then takes the sword from the sheath at her side, and kicks Lotus again, sending her running faster then ever before. When they enter the open gate, all around is fighting and blood. Naomi looks quickly and makes note that so far, Calankaiana's men seemed to be winning, but Heru is no where in sight. Calankaiana turns Lotus towards the grand estate entrance and gallops at full speed, without even getting off the horse. About 20 feet in, she stops Lotus in her tracks.
"Heru!" Calankaiana calls.
Suddenly, a loud thud fills the room. Calankaiana turns to see the entrance she just rode through closed.
"Blast! He's closed off our exit!" Alonsa says.
"Wait, for all we know, he's in this place, let's keep looking!" Naomi says.
"Right." Calankaiana agrees as she nods, then kicks Lotus hard.
Lotus starts off, and within a minute, turns into what appears to be the kitchen. Maids and servants scream in fright as they run away. Some women bow, respecting Calankaiana as the Queen. But, most run, scared by the horse and by the shouts of blood-thirsty men. Calankaiana stops in front of one of the bowing groups of women.
"Have you seen a man being carried by any of the Lord's men?" Calankaiana asks.
One of the women raises her head and nods, pointing towards a window.
"Yes, Pharaoh. They carried him towards the back courtyard." she answers.
"Thank you, you shall be rewarded for your assistance." Calankaiana says as she turns and kicks Lotus towards a doorway.
"I would hurry, they spoke of slaughter!" the women calls after her.
The words cause Calankaiana's heart to skip a beat, terrified by the new information. She instinctively takes hold of the necklace Heru gave her as she turns a corner to find herself outside, and just in time.
About 30 feet away, three men try to hold down Heru as another tries to put a bag on his head, verifying what the women said was true.
"HERU!" Calankaiana yells as she rides towards the group, drawing all of their attention.
As her voice reaches his ears, a light of hope reenters Heru's eyes.
Suddenly, one of the men take Heru by the neck and draw out a knife, then place it to his neck. Calankaiana stops Lotus in full gallop as the man pushes it closer to Heru's neck.
"Try to move to save him and he dies." the man says.
Calankaiana stays still, her face becomes emotionless with a strong frown.
"So, what should you do? Decisions, Decisions." a vile familar voice says from behind, surprising Calankaiana.
She turns to see the repulsive Lord Chuma standing behind her, a smart-elic smirk on his face.
"You-!" Calankaiana starts.
"If you do not do as I instruct, the stable-hand meets his demise." Chuma interupts.
"Do not do it! Do not give yourself up to him!" Heru yells, surprising Calankaiana.
"Shut up, hostage!" a pudgy man says as he punches Heru across the face.
"Heru-!" Calankaiana yells.
"Do not give yourself up for me! I do not deserve it!" Heru snaps, causing Calankaiana's eyes to widen in shock.
"I said shut up!" the pudgy man shouts again as he slaps Heru hard.
"Stop it!" Calankaiana orders, sending a shiver down the four men's backs.
Without saying a word, Calankaiana jumps off of Lotus and turns to face Chuma.
"So, you have decided to listen? Great, now, drop your sword." Chuma orders.
"Stop!" Heru yells.
Without making any expression, Calankaiana takes her sword from her right side and drops it from her waist, as told.
Naomi and Alonsa gape in shock as Chuma begins to laugh hysterically.
"Who would of thought, that the great Pharaoh Calankaiana, would ever take orders to save the pitiful life of a servant?! It is lunacy!" Chuma comments as he walks closer to Calankaiana.
Calankaiana glares at him as he comes to stand only about a foot in front of her.
"Now, now, do not give me that look. It does not flatter your beauty." Chuma says as strokes her hair, causing both Naomi and her to become super angry.
"Don't touch her!" Heru snaps, surprising everyone yet again.
Suddenly, an extending spear rushes past Calankaiana's face and stabs into Heru's left shoulder, causing him to grunt in pain.
"Heru!" Calankaiana yells.
"I do not remember ordering you to speak, servant. Now, shut up and stay there!" Chuma says as he twists his end of the spear then pulls it out, causing Heru to yells in agony.
Calankaiana stares at Heru, anger building as she watches blood behind to drip from his wound. She turns as a ball of fire begins to burn in her right palm.
"Why you-!"Calankaiana snaps as she turns back to Chuma, only to be met by a surprise.

Pit 9

Calankaiana and Heru walk silently to the stables with their horses, a little shell-shocked about the night's events. Naomi and Alonsa follow close behind, floating about 15 feet behind.
"So...now what?" Naomi asks.
"Just watch." Alonsa answers.
When Calankaiana and Heru reach the stables, Heru walks quickly ahead and disappears into the stables, Ra following. Calankaiana stands with Lotus and blinks in surprise, confused.
"What's he doing?" Naomi asks, floating down to Calankaiana's side.
"I do not know." Calankaiana answers as Heru returns.
He walks quickly to her and holds out a simple wooden box.
"I promised to have something for you. I hope you like it." he says as Calankaiana takes it from him.
"What is it?" she asks.
"Open it."
"Alright then." she says as she removes the top of the box.
She gasps when she sees what's inside. Laying perfectly on a rich blue satin is a beautiful pendant. It's a topaz with three crystal hydrangea petals connected to the gem, and two curly strips of metal take the place of the fourth petal. Naomi gasps.
"That's your-!" Naomi starts, before Alonsa covers her mouth.
"Shh!" Alonsa spits, still holding Naomi firm.
They watch as Calankaiana carress the back of her neck, and reveal her birthmark that looks oddly similar to the necklace, slightly blushing.
"I saw the mark on your neck and thought it looked similar to this pendant. It once belonged to my mother." Heru says.
"Oh, Heru, I cannot take this, it's too beautiful. And it was your mother's-"
"My mother would be happy if you had it. Please, accept it." Heru interupts.
Calankaiana gazes back down at the necklace and sighs, then looks back up at Heru.
"Do I have to put it on myself?" she asks, smirking.
"Oh, no, of course not. I can do that." Heru says as Calankaiana begins to giggle.
She gives him the box, then turns and lifts her hair, revealing her birthmark. He smiles as he lifts the necklace by it's gold cord and wraps it around her neck, clasping each end. She lets go of her hair and turns back around to face him.
"It looks beautiful on you." he says as she looks down to stare at the pendant.
"I love it, thank you." Calankaiana says as she hugs him, causing him to blush.
"Y-Your welcome."
Calankaiana releases him and smiles, the wind beginning to blow her hair towards him. As she begins to blush, she quickly kisses him on the cheek and runs away, afraid to say something stupid, but leaves him stunned. Alonsa quickly follows Calankaiana, but Naomi stays behind, transfixed on Heru.
Red rises to his cheeks as he still stands there, Lotus neighing behind him. Slowly, he comes out of his shock and turns and takes Lotus' reins, then leads her to her grand stable. After he comes back out, he looks up at the full moon and sighs.
"Osiris, help me. I do not know what is happening. I mean, this morning, I was nothing but a stable hand. But now, I have become transfixed on the goddess that rules your land under you. And already, I have been stolen of two kisses to the cheek by her..." He says as hits on a stable fense.
"He really likes her..." Naomi says to herself.
"I cannot believe it, but, I think I am in love with her..." he says.
Naomi's heart skips a beat as he says that, her cheeks blushing. Slowly, she floats down to his side and sits beside him, her presense unknown by him.
"Oh, what am I saying? She is the Queen of Egypt, I cannot be with her. No Pharaoh would take a stable hand as their husband. It is impossible. There is no way she would love me as this. I am doomed in one sided love." he says as holds his head in his hands, frustrated.
Naomi shakes her head in disagreement.
"No..." she says, "Calankaiana does care about you. How can you not see it. I can see it, and I'm not, in reality, even here. Open your eyes, you can't let let this stupid class system effect how you feel about her!"
As Naomi yells, she accidentally rests her hand on his, and he reacts instantly. He gets up from the fence and turns back, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Wh-Who is there?" he asks.
She gasps in surprise.
"Can he hear me?" she whispers.
He reacts.
"Who said that?" he asks.
"Um-uh, I-I am..." Naomi babbles, trying to think of a egyptian goddess, "Isis! Isis, yeah."
"Isis? Is that truly you?" he asks, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Yes. I have come to help you with your problem in love." Naomi says, trying to change her voice up a bit.
"Oh, great Goddess, please help me. I am so confused by this."
"You shouldn't be."
"What?"
"Can you really not see it?"
"What is that?"
"Mukantagara Asim, Pharaoh Calankaiana, does care for you. You saved her life when she was attacked by those horsemen and protected her against the Lord when he tried to forcefully take her as his own. She has great feelings for you, and everytime you're with her, she is as happy as can be." Naomi says, trying to sound as wise as possible.
"She does?"
"Do you dought me?"
"No, no, of course not, great Goddess." Heru says quickly, then smiles, "Thank you Isis."
"To you, at this moment, call me Naomi." she says, floating behind him.
"Naomi? I don't know why, but I really adore that name. It's beautiful."
Naomi tries her best not to giggle as her cheeks become cherry red.
"I love you Heru, I really do." Naomi says in her normal voice, wraping her arms around him as she kisses him on the cheek, something he feels.
"Mukantagara..?" he says, reconizing her voice as Calankaiana's as she floats away after Alonsa and the real Calankaiana.
"I hope you were reincarnated like me Heru. I would love for you to say that you love me..." Naomi says to herself as she floats up the steps.
"You, the Queen of Egypt, falling for a stable hand?!" she hears a all too familar voice yell.
Naomi quickens her pace and flies into Calankaiana's bedchamber to be interupting a fight between Calankaiana and her sister, Neema.
"How could you even want to put yourself in the arms of such a low-classed, dirty-" Neema yells.
"Don't you dare speak of Heru as such!" Calankaiana snaps.
"Calankaiana, you are wrong in the head! You have become a complete lunatic!"
"How do you even know of him?"
"One should not accept a gift from and hug a servant in broad moon-light." Neema says quieter.
"When did this start?" Naomi asks as she floats over to where Alonsa is spectating.
"Just as she walked into the room. It seems she was waiting in here." Alonsa answers.
"Then you had the audacity to steal a kiss from him! The nerve you have is that of 10 men!" Neema interupts.
"I believed it fit the situation-" Calankaiana starts.
"When is a kiss ever fitting?! It is foul!" Neema snaps.
"It was only on the cheek-"
"Then what, the forehead? The neck? Or perhaps you will steel a kiss of the lips. Tounge and all!" Neema yells.
"Heru is not a wretch. Unlike that Lord Chuma you wanted me to give my hand to."
"He is not a wretch-"
"Did you not hear of what he did to me?! Do you not see these bruises, these injuries?!" Calankaiana snaps.
"He wanted to show you affection-"
"He pinned me to the floor!"
"You were being stubborn, like always."
"I was not! I was level headed until he pinned me down and removed my collar and choker by force!"
"He didn't though-"
"Not before Heru ran in, threw him off of me, and protected me from that demon of a man!" Calankaiana interupts.
"So, he also saw you as that-"
"He didn't look once! Then he protected me as a sword was about to befall my head-"
"As you protected him from being slaughtered for false judgement. Face it Calankaiana, your allowing yourself to put you in danger, just to save this one man!" Neema explains.
"He is not an ordinary man..." Calankaiana says under her breath.
"Yes he is, you are just imagining him as extraordinary because you lust for comfort and love-"
"No! I am not fantasizing anything. Heru is special, and I know it!"
"How exactly?"
"Because-"
"Because what?"
"Just because-"
"Because what, Mukantagara-!"
"Because I love him!" she snaps, surprising everyone in the room, even Neema.
For a moment, everyone is silent as Calankaiana cheeks begin to become red as she thinks of Heru. Slowly, Naomi watches as Neema begins to smirk, her eyes flahing with the intent of darkness.
"Well, that I did not know I would get out of you. But I hope you realize that your statement not only jeopordized your throne, but the very man you love. Try to sleep tonight, Calankaiana, for it will be the last ounce you will get before the heavens you walk upon crash into the reality of Earth. Goodbye." Neema says as she walks out the door, leaving Calankaiana stunned.
"I know that she was my sister and all, but dang, do I hate her!" Naomi comments, floating down to Calankaiana's side.
"What do you think she will do to Heru?" Alonsa asks.
"I do not know, but I have a feeling that it will probably not be pleasant. At least, for me." Calankaiana answers, thinking about Neema's words.
"Can't you get her kicked out of the palace?" Naomi asks.
"Throwing her out would just lead to people asking questions, and I don't need that." Calankaiana explains.
"Oh." Naomi says.
"So, what are you going to do?" Alonsa asks.
Calankaiana looks away, thinking over the question. After a minute, she turns back.
"I'll just have someone keep watch over Heru. And, so he doesn't get concerned, I will explain the situation to him." Calankaiana explains.
"Sounds easy enough." Alonsa comments.
"But what is Neema orders the guards to do something to him?" Naomi points out.
"By the will of Isis, they had better listen to me over her, seeing as how I am the Pharaoh, not her." Calankaiana answers.
"That would make sense." Naomi says.
Alonsa and Calankaiana nod.
"Calankaiana, I think you should go ahead and get some rest. You will have to have strengh to overcome whatever Neema is trying to come up with. Please, go to bed." Alonsa advises.
Calankaiana looks over at Naomi, who nods. She sighs.
"Alright. I will do as you ask. Goodnight." Calankaiana answers as she removes he outfit, and grabs for her night gown.
"See you then." Naomi says as she begins to float away, Alonsa already out the door.
"Wait Naomi." Calankaiana calls after her.
Naomi turns, surprised to hear Calankaiana calling her back.
"Yeah?" Naomi asks.
"Tell me, Naomi. Do you have freedom?" Calankaiana asks.
Naomi is taken back by the question.
"What?" Naomi asks, still confused.
"Do you have the freedom to go out and be whoever you want to be?" Calankaiana asks again.
"Um, uh, yeah. I guess. I mean, I didn't get absolute, legal freedom 'til I turned 18, but-" Naomi starts, before Calankaiana grabs her and pulls her into a hug, surprising Naomi again.
"Good, I believe you deserve it..." Calankaiana says, "I can see that you were raised so much different then I. We are so different, but at the same time, we are one in the same..."
"Calankaiana..." Naomi whispers.
"You would of hated this life. I am glad that eventually, I am so care-free and independent. Please, remember to never let go of your youth and happiness. I lost both such a long time ago, and I finally found at least my happiness today, through you and Heru..." Calankaiana continues.
"What are you saying?" Naomi asks.
"Please, never become what I am. Do not give in to what other think you should be and play along. Because in the end, you are no longer yourself. You are not even a true being..."
Naomi eyes widen as Calankaiana speak on.
"And one last thing. Do not let love be a stranger like it was in my lifetime. Open yourself to it and find a great man that will love you for you, not your possessions." Calankaiana finishes, unwrapping Naomi from her arms.
Naomi is speechless.
"Goodnight, Naomi." Calankaiana says as she turns away and walks to her bed.
Naomi smiles and turns, and floats to the door. Before she fully exists, she turns back.
"Goodnight, Naomi..."

Pit 8

Naomi and Alonsa rush into the Lord's bedchamber, and gasp when they see the aftermath of what had happened. Tables are overturned, drinks spilled, some cloth torn, gold jewelry all over the ground.
"What the heck happened...?" Naomi says, then spots Calankaiana.
Calankaiana is held close by Heru on the ground, her eyes wide in shock.
"I hoped that I would never see this again..." Alonsa says behind her.
Naomi turns and walk to Alonsa.
"What happened?..." Naomi whispers.
"You'll know in a moment..." Alonsa says.
Naomi turns back, and notices something off about Calankaiana. Her crown is gone and she's pretty sure her collar and choker have been taken off. And around her neck are little red areas which look weirdly like...
Naomi's eyes widen as she realizes what has happened, and she covers her mouth and nose as to not let out another loud gasp.
"The Lord...did he...?" Naomi whispers.
"That's right." Alonsa answers
"How dare you lay your hands on Mukantagara!" Heru yells as Calankaiana still sits there motionless in Heru's arms.
"She is mine and mine alone. I have a right to do what I want with her." Naomi hears a man say behind her.
Naomi turns to see the Lord Chuma behind her, only wear a loose toga, blood running down the side of his face and mouth.
"She is not your possession!" Heru snaps.
"The Queen is and will forever be mine." the Lord says.
Heru cracks, then gently lets go of Calankaiana, and attacks the Lord, throwing him into the nearest stone wall. Calankaiana begins to fall, but Naomi reaches her before she can hit, surprising her.
"Calankaiana, can you hear me?!" Naomi yells, noticing Calankaiana isn't responsive.
Now that Heru isn't covering her, Naomi can see that the cloth that is supposed to be held by Calankaiana's collar is only being held in place by her trembling hand.
"He-He pinned me down..." Calankaiana whispers, not looking at anything but the ground.
Naomi looks horrified by Calankaiana. She has never seen anyone so out of it like this. It just made her feel horrible.
"She will never be yours!" Heru yells.
Naomi turns as she notices the Lord's laughter.
"What, do you believe she is yours? That is absolutely pathetic." the Lord states.
"She is not mine, she is not a item you can just trade or buy! She is a human being, and you can not just treat her like that!" Heru snaps.
"She is mine, and if I do not have her, no one will." the Lord says.
"You monster!" Naomi yells as she rises and begins to near the Lord, only to be held back by Alonsa.
"Naomi, stop!" Alonsa yells as she keeps Naomi from breaking free.
"I'm gonna kick that guy into next week!" Naomi snaps as her eyes begin to become ablaze with red.
"You need to come down! Remember, you can't do anything in this time!" Alonsa comments.
"I'm gonna make it so I can!" Naomi snaps again.
Suddenly, Alonsa notices sparks beginning to fly out of Naomi's palm.
"Naomi, if you don't calm down, you'll encase yourself in your own special attack!" Alonsa says.
"I don't care!-" Naomi yells.
"What is happening here!?" they hear someone yell from behind.
They all turn to see Fukayna standing in the door, guards standing behind her.
"Guards, arrest him! He assaulted the Queen and is attacking me!" the Lord says, speaking about Heru.
The guards spring into action quick, taking Heru by the hair and forcing him to the ground.
"Heru!" Naomi yells.
"No, it is a lie! He is the one that did that to her, not me!" Heru yells.
"Calankaiana, do something!" Naomi yells, running back to Calankaiana's side, who's still out of it.
"My Lady, are you alright?!" Fukayna yells as she rushes to the other side of Calankaiana, taking her face in her hands.
"I-I could not move...all I could do was scream..." Calankaiana whispers.
"Mukantagara, please, say something!" Heru yells.
His voice brings life back into Calankaiana's eyes.
"You have no right to call her of such name after what you have done. You shall be slain here and now!" the Lord yells.
A guard takes a sword from his side while two other hold Heru down.
"No.." Calankaiana says, finally looking up as the guard raises the sword above his head.
"What?-" Fukayna says.
"Please, do not..." Calankaiana says louder.
But no one hears her as the guard begins to swing. Without thinking, Calankaiana gets up and moves in front of the sword.
"Stop-" Calankaiana yells, when she suddenly is taken in an arm and is shielded from being cut.
"Move!" Heru yells as he protects her.
Luckily, the sword stops inches from Heru, and everyone stands motionless for a moment. Calankaiana just looks up at Heru, speechless.
"Heru...why did you...?" Calankaiana says.
"I could not let you die for my sake, you are way too important for that." Heru says as he smiles down at her.
Calankaiana's cheeks begin to redden as she faintly feels something in her eyes. Heru's eyes widen.
"Are you...crying...?" Heru asks as he begins to sit straight up, still holding her close to him.
"Let go of her!" the Lord yells.
"Bite your tongue!" Calankaiana snaps as her eyes begin to flame red.
The Lord steps back as Calankaiana's hands begin to spout flames and sparks.
"My Lady, stop!" Fukayna yells.
"ANUBIS CURSE YOU!" Calankaiana snaps as her attack begins to grow in her palm.
"Mukantagara, stop!" Heru yells as he pulls her even closer, surprising her and ending the attack before she can even throw.
"B-But Heru-?" Calankaiana says.
"You know better than to stoop that low. Just calm down, please." Heru says.
"Your Highness, why did you save him. He-" Fukayna starts.
"Heru is innocent! It was that serpent that did it! Heru was the one that pulled him off me!" Calankaiana snaps.
Everyone turns and stares at the Lord, until he begins to chuckle.
"It seems that I am the only one who sees my reasoning and understands. Calankaiana has been only mine since the day I decided to take her as my wife. Even if I have to take what is sometimes most precious to her to get across that I am the only one that will have her, then so be it. No other Lord, King...even servants will be allowed to own her, and if I don't get her, no one will." the Lord says he stokes Calankaiana's hair.
Heru snaps again and grabs the Lord and throws him to the ground.
"Heru!" Calankaiana yells.
"If you ever touch her again-!" Heru snaps as he snarls at the Lord.
"Get him off the Lord and take the Lord away! Now!" Fukayna yells.
Quickly, the guards throw Heru off of the Lord, tie up the Lord, and all leave, leaving Calankaiana and Heru alone in the room.
For a few minutes, they say nothing. But, suddenly, Heru notices Calankaiana trembling.
"Mukantagara..." Heru says.
"I-I was so scared..." she whispers.
"You, scared?" Heru says, surprised.
"I thought...no one would hear me...that he was going to-" Calankaiana starts, before she feels a hand caress her cheek.
"Mukantagara, it's over now, please relax." Heru says, trying to calm her down.
"But, Heru-"
"Calankaiana, I would of never let him do anything to you. I promised I would protect you, and I plan on keeping that promise until I know you are safe." Heru says, starring right into her eyes.
Calankaiana gasps in surprise at Heru's statement as holds her closer then before, then begins to blush.
"Wow.." Naomi says.
Alonsa turns and her eyes widen. Naomi is blushing just as bad as Calankaiana, holding herself in her own arms.
"Heru...please...do not let go." Calankaiana says as she quickly wraps her own arms around him, surprising him.
"Calankaiana...I never saw her do this..." Alonsa states, her eyes widen.
"Mukantagara..." Heru says, still surprised.
"Don't let them make me choose! I am so confused, I  don't know what to do about anything! I don't want to marry, especially someone who will just use me!" Calankaiana yells, tears beginning to appear in eyes.
"Calankaiana's beginning to crack..." Naomi says.
"I've never seen her like this...she was that confused?" Alonsa says, shocked by Calankaiana's display of greif.
"I told you, you sheltered her from reality, and took her freedom. You failed at making at perfect princess.." Naomi comments.
"Mukantagara...please, do not cry..." Heru asks.
"Hmm?" Naomi says, her intention now on Heru, who is pulling Calankaiana slightly away from him.
"You do not need to cry. You are so intelligent and beautiful, you should not have a single thing to cry about." he continues.
"Wha-What?" Calankaiana asks, sniffling.
"People look up to you for a reason. It is not because of your powers or your money, it is because you care about your people and have stong determination to keep peace in this country." Heru explains.
Calankaiana's eyes widen.
"You...think that?" Calankaiana whispers.
Heru nods, and smiles.
"I know that you have a great burden on your shoulders, being the Queen of Egypt and having the marriage situation..." he says.
She chuckles.
"You do not have a clue..." Calankaiana interjects.
"...but you have to remember that you have a whole country behind you." he finishes.
"What?" Calankaiana says, surprised.
"All of your people believe in you and your determination. Just think of them whenever you find yourself in a bad situation. I know that if you make a decision, they will be behind your back no matter the circumstances." he ends, wiping the tears from Calankaiana's eyes.
Calankaiana eyes widen in shock, and she looks away as she thinks over what he just said.
"Dang." Naomi comments.
Slowly, Calankaiana begins to smile, then looks back up at Heru.
"Thank you, Heru. For everything." Calankaiana says as she begins to hug him again.
Heru begins to blush as he pulls a large piece of cloth from nearby and drapes it over Calankaiana's shoulders, covering her.
"Your welcome..." Heru says, hugging her back as she takes hold of the cloth in her free hand.
"No, really, Thank you." she says, kissing him on the cheek, causing him to blush more.
"This is so cute!" Naomi says, loving the romance.
"Well, it's not going to be cute for long..." Alonsa says under her breath.

Pit 7

Naomi finds herself head over heels as she watches Canlankaiana and Heru ride close to each other over the sandy landscape.
"How was he able to come along?" Naomi asks, not recalling why he was riding with the highly ranked group.
"Calankaiana picked him to be her escort for the evening. It's not strange that she would pick a servant every now and again. She feels better around them instead of Lords and Kings who want her hand." Alonsa explains.
"Oh, so that's why he changed clothes at last minute." Naomi realizes, looking back down at Heru.
Instead of wearing just a gold collar, arm bands, gold cuffs, and what looked like a long loin cloth skirt, he is wearing a off-white kilt, as she's told it's called, that reaches to about his knees, which is held at the top by a gold hip band and has a drapped piece of green cloth, similar to Calankaiana's, except less decorative. His collar is replaced with a more decorated one, some lapis lazuli inbedded in the gold. And around his ankles are gold bands, sandals on his feet that matched Calankaiana's.
"So, where exactly are they going?" Naomi asks.
"The Royal party is going to the Lord Chuma's estate for the feast." Alonsa answers.
"That dumb Lord that ticked off Calankaiana earlier?! Why would she want to eat there?!" Naomi asks, irritated.
"Yes, the party goes whether the Queen refuses or not. Though, Calankaiana will probably stay far away from the Lord-" Alonsa starts.
"Why wouldn't she?! She already hates him, so why would she want to just start a dinner conversation with him?!" Naomi interrupts.
"Don't worry about it, just watch." Alonsa instructs.
Naomi turns back and watches the party ride til they finally reach the pretty large estate. After many of the royal party members jump off their horses, leaving only Calankaiana, Heru, Fukayna, and Nenet still riding, the great gate outlining the outskirts of the Lord's land begin to open. When they fully open, Calankaiana trots in ahead on her group with Heru close by. As they enter, Calankaiana spots the Lord, who's looking down at her with fury in his stare. And when he spots Heru, she's sees him become even angrier. But, she turns away and keeps trotting along the way, irritated that she had to even see him again after what happened this very morning. Heru notices and quickens his horses speed so that he's next to her.
"Is something bothering you?" Heru asks.
Calankaiana looks surprised by his question, blushing a little.
"What do you mean?" Calankaiana asks.
"You seem to be in a mental war with the Lord. Did he do something to upset you or something?"
Calankaiana is quiet for a moment, then turns towards him and sighs.
"He was the one that asked for my hand earlier today..."
Heru is surprised by the answer.
"Oh..."
"But, he only cares for gold. He only wanted my hand for my wealth and looks, nothing more."
"I see. That would definitely tick me off if a girl I asked to marry me just liked me because of how I look or how much money I have. If you don't understand that person, then you probably the right one for them. At least, that is how I see it."
Calankaiana blushes and stops Lotus , Heru stopping his horse, Ra, soon after.
"My Lady, the Lord would like to talk to you...in private-" Fukayna starts as she walks up to the left side of Lotus after getting off her own horse, Nile.
"No, and that is final." Calankaiana snaps.
"But, Your Highness-"
"I am not talking to that self-absorbed man!-"
"Mukantagara..." Heru interupts Calankaiana, stopping her in the middle of her sentence.
Calankaiana turns back towards him surprised by hearing her birth name.
"Just see what Lord Chuma wants of you. If it is the same as last time, then just end the conversation and leave the room." Heru says.
"Heru..." Calankaiana says.
"How dare you speak to the Queen of Egypt like that! And calling her by her birth and not her reigning name is just as inexcusable!" Fukayna yells at Heru.
"It is alright. Heru is a friend, he may call me as he wishes." Calankaiana says.
"Calankaiana.." Fukayna says.
"Friend?" Heru says to himself.
"Fine, I will go and speak with the Lord. Where exactly is he?" Calankaiana asks.
"He's in his bed chamber." Fukayna answers.
Heru gets a weird feeling.
"Would it be alright if I came along with you? I mean, I am your escort." Heru says.
"Yes, you can wait outside the door of the Lord's bedchamber." Calankaiana answers.
The two walk away quickly, Naomi and Alonsa following them close behind. For a a few minutes they don't speak, still awkward about the conversation before. Finally, before Calankaiana can turn into the hallway where the Lord's room is, Heru takes her wrist and pulls her back hard, but gently, to face him.
"What?!" Calankaiana asks, irritated.
"I do not think you should see him." Heru says.
Calankaiana is taken back by his comment.
"Why not?"
Heru begins to blush.
"You refused his hand in marriage. Why would he want to see you, alone? I think that he is trying to do something."
She looks surprised again, then grins.
"Heru, I will be fine, I can take care of myself." she says reassuringly.
He looks away, in thought. After a few moments, he sighs and looks back at her.
"Alright, just be careful. And remember, I will be right outside the door, so if he if does anything, I will know."
Calankaiana is surprised, but nods and turns away before he can she her start to blush. Naomi floats down to be at Calankaiana's side.
"He seems protective of you, aye?" Naomi comments.
...No one but Fukayna has ever been like that...worried about me...protective of me...
Naomi is taken back when Calankaiana's voice go past her mind instead of out of her mouth.
"How the heck did that happen?!" Naomi yells.
"You two can communicate to each other without speech, remember?" Alonsa comments.
"Oh yeah, you explained that earlier, didn't you?" Naomi says.
Alonsa rolls her eyes, as well as Calankaiana.
"But, no one has worried about you, ever?" Naomi asks Calankaiana, herself.
Weird.
...No one...well, only two other people...but...they are both dead...
Her parents...
"I'm sorry..." Naomi says, remembering how she felt when her dad died.
...It is alright...
"So...you like Heru?"
Calankaiana begins to overly blush again.
...He is-He is a kind man...
"And...?"
...He acts very caring...
Naomi and Alonsa watch as Calankaiana gets an innocent smile on her face, making Naomi grin. Calankaiana really did like Heru.
"I think this is the first time since her childhood that I've seen that happy, child-like smile..." Alonsa says, surprised by Calankaiana's expression when she thinks of Heru.
"She grew up faster then she should. It's no wonder you never saw that smile." Naomi interjects.
"What?" Alonsa asks.
"Since she was a child, Calankaiana has been pushed to her limits by her parents, tutors, and even you. She always had to fit into the image you thought fit a princess. And because of that, you rarely let her enjoy her childhood or early adulthood. Then, when she was 15, she had to take the throne as Queen. Though on the outside she was completely ready to take on her destined position, on the inside, she was a mess. Terrified by the chance of messing up or calling the wrong action in a situation. She was being pressured to be perfect. She was raised as an adult, not a child. And because of that, she doesn't understand the truth of happiness and fun. From the world you raised her that you thought was perfect, all she learned was information from the scriptures, and how to put on a strong face when faced with a hard situation. She never learned what you truly need to understand..."
"W-What is that?..." Alonsa asks.
"She never learned how to interact with people who not only respect, but care about her. She never learned how to truly love..." Naomi finishes.
Alonsa's eyes widen in alarm and shock. She immediately turns back towards Calankaiana, who's walked farther down the hall, Heru close behind.
"I restrained her from learning of love...?" Alonsa says.
Suddenly, the discussion from earlier between Calankaiana and Fukayna rushes back.
The knowledge of love...wanting to know what love is....what it feels like...
"What had I done...?" Alonsa says as she falls to her knees, in shock.
Naomi notices and sighs, a content frown as her expression.
"I'm sorry, but I had to tell you straight what I was feeling. Calankaiana and I are one in the same, am I right? Well, you have to remember the fact that you're here again, with me." Naomi says.
Alonsa looks surprised and looks up, tears silently running down her face.
"What?" Alonsa asks.
Naomi grins and gets down to Alonsa's level.
"I am the reincarnation of Mukantagara Asim, the powerful Pharaoh Calankaiana. I have lived three other lives that I still don't remember, but do know one thing. In this life, I have beeen able to experience all that is needed for a human to live a life worth living. I now have experienced it, so you don't need to cry. And besides, for some reason, I hate to see people cry..." Naomi says, smiling.
Suddenly, Alonsa sees a spark of purple flash in Naomi's eyes. In her mind's eye, she sees the same girl, brown hair, hazel eyes, a goddess's smile. She wears silks and satin's sewn into the highest elegance a kimono can be, her light making it ever more beautiful. a shawl around her shoulders and a katana at her side. She hold her hand out to Alonsa, warmth transcending from her body and encasing Alonsa in a orb of pure happiness.
"Hika...heme..." Alonsa says as the visions disappears, revealing her modern joy, Naomi, still smiling bright.
A blood-curdling scream fills the air, and sends the happy moment into the jaws of chaos.
